Fell in love with my new doctor
Dr. Chervu could not have been more caring and kind. She had studied my chart and asked questions to make sure she had it all right. She had written a list of things she wanted to ask about. I have never had a doctor who was that thorough when talking to me about my health.

Prepared, detailed and compassionate
On my first visit she had already gone over all of my records and was prepared for me. Discussed in detail the direction we were going, she took the time to listen to my concerns and my apprehensions. Given my other health issues I am very pleased that she will guide me thru the things to come.

Condescending and poor listener
I have been going to Dr. Chervu for years now and for the most of the time was an easy patient in and out with little issue. As I’ve gotten older I’ve begun to have more renal issues and she lacked empathy and problem solving skills. She treated me like I was dumb who didn’t know what was going on. We were trying to find a new bp medication that had less side effects she wouldn’t remember which ones I had tried and couldn’t think of any new ones. I haven’t had an appointment with her in over a year because she lets her PA who isn’t familiar with my history do all the appointments. She clearly doesn’t review the treatment plan drafted by the PA because more than once they were trying to prescribe medications I already had adverse effects to. She would change my medication and not follow up for months which landed me in the hospital with near kidney failure. Not the outcome you’re looking for from a nephrologist. She was great in the beginning but I feel she’s no longer interested.

Waning concern and attentiveness
My mother and my uncle were patients of Dr. Chervu for over a decade. In the beginning she seemed alert and displayed a general concern for her patients. Towards the end she wasn’t available, never took accountability, had her PA handle every appt and didn’t review the PA’s treatment plan. I had to stay on top of everything because we could no longer trust her. She increase a medication and had no follow up with my mother which caused her to go into renal failure. I’ve been to more than a dozen appointments with her and like her personally but she just isn’t invested like she used to be. We found a new md and haven’t been back to her office in months and they haven’t even reached out. In my opinion, if you’re going to allow your PA to take every appointment then it’s time to retire. If you’re reading this to find a nephrologist trust me and find another doctor. If this practice is convenient for you Dr. Ogundipe is a much better doctor.

Great Doctor!
I met Dr. Chervu during a stay at Kennestone Hospital as she was the Nephrologist on duty. I immediately switched doctors as I was so impressed with her knowledge and caring attitude. She is absolutely one of my very best doctors! She works to find the underlying causes of problems without just treating them with a never ending list of medications. She is ALWAYS well prepared for our visits, thoroughly reviews my chart and follows up on any pending questions. She is always on time. She has an extremely pleasant bedside manner and is very professional. She truly cares for the well being of her patients. She has been able to manage my condition (one kidney) while judiciously taking me off of unnecessary medications. Under her care/guidance my health has dramatically improved.

One very amazing doctor!
Dr. Chervu was absolutely outstanding with my 84 year old mother during her appointment. She was thorough, kind, friendly, caring and so much more. She is everything you could have hoped for in a doctor. I was so very pleased and so was my mother.

If you are fortunate enough to get Dr. Chervu as your Dr (unlikely, as she is so busy), you have been blessed of God. After six or more years, Dr. Chervu told me her insurance company will no longer allow her to be my PCP. When she told me, I literally cried. This woman has been on top of everything, medically-speaking, that concerns my health. Dr. Chervu is a dedicated, gifted, compassionate Dr., the likes of which I have not seen in my 75 years. This is the worst doctor I ever had. She was reading me test results that weren't mine. She realized this after I had to tell her 3 times it wasn't my results since I didn't take any urine test that day. Many of the high blood pressure medications gave me a the same negative side effect that made another chronic condition of mine even worse which interfered with my job. She gave me 4 medications and then she quit and told me to find another kidney specialist. She is a quitter.
