Apathetic
This doctor should be ashamed of herself. I live across the country so the only option I had was to leave her a detailed message about a family member who presents as totally fine but is having increasingly frequent memory lapses, gaps and frequent falls. Armed with this information the doctor has apparently told her she is fine based on appearance and basic vitals. The doctor’s lack of willingness to recommend and conduct testing for cognitive issues has shut down all roads to a proper diagnosis and care plan and her handling of the matter was so sloppy that I’m no longer in the position to be of any help.

Good listener
I started seeing Dr. Alamo after my PCP retired. I didn't have time to research a new doctor so I gave her a try. I planned to find another doctor if she was the type that talks to you for 5 minutes and prescribes medication that doesn't help your original issue and causes new problems. To get to the bottom of my complaints, sent me to a specialist and ordered a bunch of tests, which I later learned my insurance didn't cover. The tests revealed problems I didn't know I had and ruled out the worst case, paranoid suspicions I'd had for the last 15 years. Now that I know what I'm dealing with, I can better manage my health. The expen$$$e was worth it. I'd still be in the dark if she only ordered tests insurance covered.

She's the smartest, and also sensitive.
Dr. Alamo is the best doctor I've ever had. When I ask a question, she answers it with emotional sensitivity and logic. Her referrals are also exceptional.

Awesome Doctor
When my previous doctor retired, I was nervous and had anxiety about selecting another one at this practice. I chose Dr. Alamo. I'm so very glad I did. She's absolutely WONDERFUL!! She's a great listener, talks to you about your issues, and in my case, put my mind at ease when I was newly diagnosed as a diabetic. She's encouraging with my weight loss and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor in her. I have terrible anxiety about going to any doctor, but with her I feel totally at ease and she puts my anxiety to rest. The practice itself is quite busy and yes, she might seem at times as to not be giving you the time you feel you need, but thats not her fault. It's simply how they're booked and I seen the same time issues with my previous doctor there as well. I couldn't be happier with her as my current Doctor and I'm so very glad I selected her. Thank you Dr. Alamo for helping me on this journey.

Seek a Second (and Third Opinion)
The doctor did not listen to or discuss patient history relating to underlying symptoms of anemia. My "gut" instinct, having worked with other qualified practitioners in internal medicine, is that certain blood disorders are not well understood. I would encourage other patients, when dealing with a doctor that does not listen to or discuss patient history (but wants to prescribe medicines without first having medical evidence , e.g. lab orders) to seek a second opinion. Your health outcomes matter.

Awful. Use at your own risk. Before my appt I wrote down my timeline and symptoms. She did not even let me get through my list. She just latched on to my depression, a depression which makes sense when you know I'm a competitive athlete, currently feeling crippled. When I explained my depression was a secondary thing to the debilitating fatigue, confusion, GI distress, and light sensitivity that never went away after Shingles (which she had diagnosed just a month prior), she swept it aside and sent me to a psychologist. When I tried to get through my list, I mentioned GI, and she said I'm up for my colonoscopy. To say "doesn't listen" doesn't really say enough.

After looking around for a new PCP, I took a chance of the new doctor at a recommended practice. Dr. Alamo was the worst doctor I've ever seen. My first visit with her as my new PCP took 9 minutes! After going through a checklist of questions as quickly as she could, she listened to my heart and looked at my ears and throat. Then she was done. A PCP visit where they don't even have you put on a gown? Then she was done. I never got a chance to ask any questions. As she ran out, I asked if she wanted to at least take a look at the skin condition I told her about. She said ok. glanced at it, and told me to make an appointment if I wanted her to look at it. You mean like the appointment I made with you today? Best of all, she entered a bunch of wrong information in my chart - including allergies I don't have.
