Terrible visit, steamrolled, completely unhelpful
I visited this doctor to get a referral for physical therapy for an exercise injury. I traveled over an hour to get there. Instead of listening to me, she bombarded me with potential illnesses and conditions that I could have instead of this very typical runners knee injury and wanted me to get blood work, x-rays...etc. I told her I simply needed a referral for physical therapy and she refused, referring me to an orthopedic surgery doctor. Wow! As someone who's been insured at various levels of quality through work, I am currently on Medicaid and see how difficult it is for people on Medicaid to get quality care. I am truly terrified for people who have to come to this doctor for real care.

Shockingly rude and unhelpful
Telehealth
Dr. Geyler was 35 minutes late to a video visit, which she did not acknowledge. No big deal if I had received adequate care. But during our appointment she talked over me, raised her voice (!!) and admonished me like a child. I didn't do anything to escalate, but it seemed like she was personally angry with me. I have never been spoken to like this in a professional setting, much less by a doctor. I was so stunned I just sat there after the call, I felt completely disrespected and humiliated. Never would have expected this from an NYU Langone doctor.

Dr. Geyler was recommended to me on IRC and I was so happy this doctor had all the time in the world for me. Too many doctors are in a rush.
