Dr. Irene Dansby, MD

I have seen Dr Dansby three times now - once for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound, and twice for biopsies (have had one done laying on a table, one in the mammogram machine, and one under MRI.) She was very professional, straightforward, understanding when I had a big emotional reaction to my cancer diagnosis, and took time to answer all my questions. During the MRI procedure, which I understand is the most technically difficult kind of biopsy, she took the time to get me positioned and figure out her approach so she could get the biopsy from the right place on the first try. Also, she did an excellent job at numbing me up all three times!!! This is amazing to me because in my previous experience (dentist, mole removal, and stitches after childbirth) nobody ever got me completely numb. But with Dr. Dansby, there was only a little stinging during the numbing and I felt absolutely nothing during the biopsies. I really can’t thank her enough for making a difficult experience easier.
