Dr. Irlna Tantchou, MD

I was previously misdiagnosed in a different medical circle, Dr Tantchou answered the call of a colleague and saw me immediately. She presents herself with caring confidence. I instantly knew I was in the right circle to fight for life. Everything moved so fast and in the right order. Working with her circle of colleagues I know I'm in the right hands. She has kept me up to date and I trust her. This is Dec 2024, I will be happy when Feb 2025 is here and I ring the bell.

My wife has needed Tantchou multiple times. A vehicle accident while pregnant killed our son. After the C-Section pain meds wore off, she was having significant internal problems. Her PCP recommended Tantchou - months long waitlist. My wife ended up in the ER, but the ER could only gave her painpills, she needed a specialist. We called Tantchou's office, explained, and asked if there was a way to speed up the process because of the growing significance of her pain, symptoms, and inability to survive off of narcotic pain pills for months. They refused.That led to surgeries. The surgeon was unable to fix ALL of my wife's internal issues, only find new clues. She still needs help. We tried to continue working with Tantchou despite the previous delays. Interviewed through an allied clinic again, the right way, and approved.TODAY her office called to completely cancel her appointment. The reason? Because of the previous surgeries my wife got because of HER waitlists. RUN.

I had surgery to remove a tumor in my lower intestine. Dr, Tantchou performed the robotic surgery. The post-surgery pain was very manageable and much less than the pain I had after a hysterectomy years earlier. Dr. Tantchou's philosophy of getting her patients out of the hospital as soon as possible works and encourages quick recovery. She is professional. She answers all questions completely but is not one to chit-chat. That's fine with me. I want a professional who is friendly but not a friend and I respect her time.

Highlands Oncology was the right place for me when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I have been around doctors for 34 yrs of my career. Dr. Tantchou exceeded my expectations! She entered the exam room and had a positive personality to console my wife and I. Surgery is done and doing great. Her nurse and staff were incredibly helpful and caring. They get the “Gold Star”

Had a very bad experience with Dr. Tantchou and her staff. She made it evident that she didn't care. Will never recommend her to anyone.

I struggled with a Rectocele for over a year. My life was revolved around the bathroom at all times. Dr T did an awesome job with my repair. She told me I would hate her for 3 weeks…. I definitely was uncomfortable, but I will never hate her! She’s given me my life back! Thank you Dr Tantchou!
