Horrible bed side manner! She walked into the room with my 77 year old and when my mom asked to call me so I could listen to the conversation the Dr said no she wanted to talk to my mom first... she never did allow my mom to call me to be her advocate! This is unacceptable during this time or any time!

After reviewing a comment about how she saved someone's life, I decided to use her for my sudden need for bi-pass. The initial meeting was good. I felt confident. I never saw her again. A series of unknown physicians attended to me in the hospital. 3 post-op visits in her office were conducted by the PA. After insisting I get fluid drained from my lung, they failed to fax hospital. Finally, when I went for the procedure, I was told there was NO fluid in my lung and the procedure, if performed, could cause damage. I never returned to see her again. Terribly treated ans gravely disappointed.

Dr. Smolens performed open heart bi-pass surgery on me in April of 2020. I found her to be not only professionally talented, but extremely caring and compassionate. I highly recommend her for open heart procedures.

Dr. Iva Smolens, MD performed a simple everyday surgical procedure on me to allegedly improve the quality of my life. Her errors during surgery caused me to go into cardiac arrest. After surgery she gave me a 2 year life sentence. If you value your life you will not allow her to touch you. Dr. Iva Smolens, MD took my life away from me and my children. I don't get a second chance at life, Dr. Iva Smolens, MD shouldn't get the opportunity to continue taking lives away from patients.

While a competent surgeon, she has horrible bedside manner. The most amount of time she spent with me was to explain why I needed surgery. She was quite short and not willing to stay in the room to answer questions. Her staff however are remarkable and excellent. The staff should not be thrown into the same bucket as Dr. Somlens.

She is very rude not compassionate at all and say your patient isn't smart cause of there chose in in valve and won't listen to what you think is best for you I am taking my business eale where there is no way I am going to have her operatemail on me

A good surgeon but a lo bedbedside manner not as friendly as everyone says to be I was told to take two Tylenol and go to bed in pain and which I suffered in pain for over a month and a half without any medication I will not use this doctor again she is the not the best doctor in the world and that's a problem with me
