A truly excellent doctor
Dr. Stoev was kind, understanding, realistic, and practical. He did not push unnecessary treatments, in fact he advised against them, providing an individual approach tailor-made for the well-being of the patient. He is everything we are looking for in a doctor.

Best neurosurgeon
This is the Doctor that you need if you need neurosurgery, he was sent from God, he is passionate about what he does, and he is very comforting every step of the way, this was the first surgery I have had since being 7 years old, for minor hernia surgery, now years later I was at a point I was barely able to walk, could not feel my leg, and an MRI later and visit to Dr.Stoev, I was told surgery was needed, surgery was a success, his entire team is amazing, he is amazing and I feel blessed to have had him as my surgeon.do not think twice he is the Dr. you want him and him only.

ACDF Surgery
I can’t say enough good things about Dr Stoev. He is professional, kind, and informative. He took time to explain and answered all of my questions. Which helped me with my decision to have surgery. On the day of surgery, he came by to visit me in pre-op. He also had his team all introduce themselves and explain to me their job. This was such a nice touch and made it personal. It helped calm my nerves. For the few minutes I had to look around the operating room, I was so impressed by the bright beautiful workspace. It had every bit of technology needed and a team of 6 or more buzzing around.I am very grateful to Cleveland Clinic, they have a great organization. Most of all thank you to Dr Stoev, for being an amazing surgeon who is passionate about his work.

TLIF lumbar surgery
He talks to you. He doesn't rush you, he listens. You feel safe. My surgery was scary afterwards because of things I was feeling but Doctor Stoev addressed my concerns and said, these were normal feeling's they should subside. I reminded myself every day to trust the process of healing and stay calm and he was right but if they didn't resolve I felt good knowing he would be there to address it. I am feeling great 4 months after my surgery. All is perfect. Now I am working on my neck...lol Thank You doctor Stoev for taking such great care of my back.

Dr. Ivan Stoev suggested the wrong spinal fusion surgery for me, in order to meet his quota. He then stopped all contact with me, after requesting further CT Scans.

Visiting with Dr. Stoev is a very thorough appointment. He explains the bad with the good. He does not sugar coat anything. He has a wonderful disposition. I've had ACDF 2-7 and will be having lumbar surgery with him as well. I am blessed to have him as my Neurosurgeon.

Fabulous Dr!!
I wish I could get 10 stars! I had surgery for three vertebrae fusion. I had paralysis in my arm and lived in constant pain….6 weeks later I was waving both arms and feelin fine!!I cannot recommend this doctor enough. He explained my condition to me in ways I could understand, went through my options and gave his recommendation. His office took care of everything from start to finishe and I never once felt alone or overwhelmed during the process. It’s rare to find a surgeon with such a wonderful bedside manner. This man is an incredible doctor with a beautiful heart. If you’re in need of a neurosurgeon and live in the Port, Saint Lucie area, this is the Dr you should consult.

I had a bad herniation of L5 and S1. I saw Dr Stoev and he explained my situation and his recommendation. I hadn't been able to sit or be on my feet for weeks. An MRI showed the nerve root in my spine was compressed. The surgery was done the following day. I went home the same day and was off of prescription pain relievers in 5 days. My incision was about an inch and my physical therapist said it healed beautifully! Dr Stoev was very kind and compassionate. Kaitlyn was a great patient advocate. I would trust Dr Stoev with my spine care any day. He truly cares about his patients. I am 66 and this was my first surgery.

De. Stoev is wonderful! I had a back injury which required surgery. He walked me through what was going to happen and what my plan will be. He is very thorough and put my mind at as much ease. He is very patient and kind. Also thank you to super start Kaitlyn! Once again this was my first surgery and she was so kind answering all my post op question and concerns. She always got back to me in an above reasonable fashion. I was probably a pain in the butt but they never made me feel that way. Thank you.

The last 2 weeks have been nothing short than exhausting especially for Brent. We were sent home from the Bone and Joint Institute 3 different times in the last 2 weeks saying it’s just a pinched nerve and that he would have to “hang in there” until the 29th for an MRI even though I called them begging and pleading to please get him rushed in today because something was wrong and they couldn’t make it happen and offered him no help???? By the grace of God, I called Kaitlyn O'Connor because my sister reminded me she worked for one of the top neurosurgeons. After explaining his symptoms she said he absolutely must be seen today. We were admitted to Southern Hills for an MRI and he ended up having to have surgery today on his neck. He had severely herniated C6/C7 causing it to pinch a nerve which made his arm go numb( which apparently is very serious despite The Bone and Joint Institute not thinking so)??????? Surgery was his only option. HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stoev!

Dr Stoev and his staff is awesome! I had been suffering from lower back pain since 2007 and had just been dealing with it. In Dec 2019 I started having siactic nerve pain also. The MRI showed I had 2 issues a herniated disk and a disk that was completely degenerated so my primary doctor referred me to Dr Stoev. He was very knowledgeable and explained in detail the options that were available. I chose to have minimal invasive spinal fusion surgery and I am so glad that I did. It has been 5 weeks since I had the surgery and I feel great!!. The nerve pain is gone and my back feels great and I have not felt this good in years. I definitely recommend Dr Stoev you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Dr Stoev!!

Dr. Stoev from day one was both educational and consistent with the information. He did not make me feel as though it was impending doom, but was very straight forward about my diagnosis and my surgical treatment plan. He also arranged the additional needs for ablation and more. Dr. Stoev was extremely like-able and helpful. He checked on me every day while I was in the hospital and all the office visits after were again educational. On a couple occasions they worked me in due to other concerns and they were patient and kind. I would (and have) referred others to him and praise his work. Kaitlyn O'Connor (his assistant), was so exceptional as well. She was receptive to my needs and extremely accommodating! Personable, friendly, and kind! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!
