Location/Inside-nice clean Receptionist/Admin-polite appearance on point and professional PA- smart friendly Doctor- great bedside manners very attentive; didn’t feel rushed Both PA and Doctor made sure I understood. I know that I sm in good hands.

I was told that my visit was supposed to be a consultation for surgery, instead the doctor made an incision without numbing on an area that had been previously worked on a week before. No one at the office made me aware that this was going to happen today. All the doctor said when she came in was she was going to take a look. She also told me that I needed to wait to have surgery until my cyst becomes inflamed again. I have not been able to work for almost a week because of the pain that I'm in. I left in more pain than I was in coming in. The only thing the doctor said was to take Ibuprofen.

I saw Dr. James yesterday for a consultation about my umbilical hernia. Dr. James is very easy to talk to, explains things very well, and has a plan of action to help it appears. I gave her 5 stars after one appt because of today. Dr James called me personally to discuss my upcoming surgery, answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed. I appreciate that. I feel I will be in good hands when my surgery occurs in about 2 weeks...

Nice office and friendly staff

Dr. James done my surgery in December of 2019. Recently I started having some stomach pains and went to see my Primary physician and had a CT Scan and was sent to Dr. James for a follow up. She looked at my CT Scan and assured me that she didn’t see anything that would be causing the pain I’m having around the belly button area that she did the surgery.

Dr. James seems to be very knowledgeable, and at the same time, puts you at ease. I’m very happy that my primary care doctor referred me to her.

Excellent explanation and understanding what needs to be done

Quick, easy and painless surgery.

She was very easy to talk to and she explained everything so I could understand what was being done! I really liked her and felt very confident with her and the explanations she gave me.

Had an infected scalp cyst/lesion removed. Everything went very smoothly and I have complete trust in Dr. James. Her surgical team was as good as she was.

Dr. James performed my laparoscopic hernia surgery wonderfully. The results were successful and with very little pain and only some minor soreness for two or three days. I would recommend her for this type of surgery. I am pleased.

Dr. James performed a colostomy on me (6 hours of surgery using laparoscopic equipment) in late March of 2020. I am in my mid sixties and was very concerned about whether the colostomy could be reversed. Dr. James assured me should would be able to do it. As promised, I went into the hospital in late June and she performed the reversal surgery very successfully(5 hours of surgery also using laparoscopic equipment- AMAZING!!) It has now been has now been about 4 months since the reversal surgery and I feel better than i have in 30 years. I can't say enough good things about Dr. James. Her surgical skills are amazing, and she is an outstanding person as well. Should I, or any of my family members require a surgeon in the future, Dr. James will be the one performing the operation. I don't write reviews normally, but felt that Dr. James, and future patients trying to decide on a surgeon, deserved to hear my experience with this great doctor.

five stars all the way would give more than that if possible- -had umbilical surgery wit her at S.O.M.C in either 2016 and the in 2017 had hietal hernia surgery with her -she was simply fantastic in both procedures - and a friendlier more caring Doctor and person as I have come across in life and I am now 70 years old. My surgery went ok, but the next day I ended up being in SOMC AT, was transferred from SOMC urgent care in Waverly. I have complained since Dec. 29th about my belly button (one of the incisions was there) about the pain and burning. It just kept getting worse. I woke up at 4:30 am in terrible pain, burning and nausea, I planned to go to church, but was back at Urgent care. They diagnosed me with cellulitis and possible MRSA. I have a serious infection, this should have been checked way sooner!
