Dr Alvarez is a very capable surgeon.
Has a very good bedside manner, and he listens to the patient. Explains everything thoroughly. I have had two knee replacements and now a total hip replacement by him, and am very happy with the care I have received from him and his staff.

Great Dr and staff
I highly recommend Dr Alvarez, I had knee surgery and found Dr Alvarez and his staff were very informative every step of the way before and after surgery. They have a class before surgery to explain things and answer questions. They included my family as well being sure they were updated during surgery.

Fantastic,very experienced, professional!
Dr. Álvarez and all his staff have the highest level of professionalism! My surgery experience was way beyond my expectations in the best way possible. I was dreading having to face the fact that I needed the other knee as well but now I’m ready to do it as soon as possible thanks to the great experience I had with the first knee.

Excellent, knowledgeable, listens to patients
Very knowledgable, listens to patients needs & questions, explains procedure in terms patients and family understand. Procedure went as planned, no problems if you follow his instructions pre and post operatively. Highly recommend. Quad sparing, robotic assistant surgery provides less pain, quicker healing, and better results.

Dr Alvarez is the best surgeon
He uses the latest techniques which he developed. He is kind but tells you like it is. After having him replace my left hip, I didn't hesitate to go back to have him replace my right hip.

Great surgeon!
I am currently recovering from my second hip replacement; both by Dr. Alvarez. He is great, very patient and actually cares about what’s going on. He listens when you ask questions and takes his time answering them. Their surgery center is awesome and the scheduling staff is great. Eventually I will need knee replacements and I will be going back to him. Overall a great experience considering its joint replacement.

Dr Alvarez is very knowledgeable. He is up to date on the latest techniques. I have received excellent care from him and his team during my knee replacement as well as another knee surgery. The pre op and post op information were very helpful. As well as the get well loop.

Follow up care
When I had an allergic reaction post surgery, was able to get an appointment the next day with Dr Alvarez and his Winter Haven office. After removing the bandage and examining the incision he determined the rash was caused by an allergic reaction to the surgical glue. He was happy with the incision then explain what would happen with the incision over time. I have a follow-up appointment the next Saturday and I will be asking several other questions as well.
