Terrible experience. I waited for over an hour to even be seen. The nurse was fine, but Dr. Golay was very dismissive to my concerns. I have been to a number of doctors who speak to me like I don't know my own body. It is very disappointing when medical professionals don't listen to my experiences, and give general blanket statements that I know is not even the problem. He comes across quite condescending and rude. I tried to explain my specific concern in detail, despite the fact that he didn't really ask. He also was generally unfriendly, or at least in a very sour mood. He didn't smile or show real concern. He simply didn't care about me. He is a classic old school doctor, stuck in his ways. Not very open to new ideas. He seemed perturbed that I even questioned him. I won't be coming back.(Changed my name for privacy reasons.)

Dr. Golay is not the Doctor I met 10+ years ago. He now leaves decisions for my health to family member that joined practice(?) early 2019. Downhill since. See similar reviews.

Dr . Golay and his staff are the best around. I have been a pt of his and their practice for about 30 yrs. I trust him and his staff completely. They are caring and compassionate and take time to listen to your concerns. Dr Golay takes his time with his patients and listens to their concerns. I would not take my family to anyone else.

The office staff at Sandhills Family Medicine is horrible, from the time they answer the phone. I have been a patient for years but the staff and nurses love to make decisions on behalf of the doctor. They don’t care or consider the patient and their needs. My pain level is unbearable but I’m being told to call someone else when my doctor has handled my problem before. Patients are not a priority here. The nurses act like they are doctors & make decisions like they are, leaving patients helpless
