Does not look for root cause of symptoms
My first visit went well, but when I returned for a follow up, I felt rushed, and dismissed. He did not address a new concern I had, but instead harped on a previous diagnosis from another provider that we had previously discussed at my first visit. I firmly believe it was a misdiagnose and it had been discussed at the first appointment, I saw no reason why it had to be brought up again, but it had and then he completed the visit and rushed out. I went back and read his note, and he completely missed the mark. I chose a DO, because they are supposed to treat the whole body, but this Dr. is just concerned about putting Band-Aids on, to treat the symptom and does not look for root causes. Why be a DO?

Dr. Geffken is a laid back doctor. By this, I mean that he is not an alarmist. He has done exams for the approval to do surgery. When I had a virus, he lessens the symptoms with nasal sprays which made a huge difference. He has given me referral for an audiologist who took my two insurances. I would highly recommend him. My husband goes to him. I am on Plainview Moms & many of them use him

I suffered a severe knee injury in September 2016.. Dr. Geffken's compassionate demeanor and accurate diagnosis allowed me to receive the proper treatment in a timely manner. He was professional and kind during an extremely stressful time in my life. I will be forever grateful for his care. I would (and do!) recommend him to all my family and friends.

Outrageous carelessness about my severe anxiety disorder. Treated me like some drug addict off the street. He would never see me in person when i showed up to speak to him and instead relayed ridiculous messages through a secretary (which for the most part are a wonderful, helpful, and caring group of women.) I went 2 full weeks without my medication because of a screw up on his behalf. I wouldn't see him again if you paid me!
