I underwent breast surgery and implants 2021 resulting in a negative experience in a present day with Dr. Unger. He met with me briefly before surgery stating he would insert implants at same time cancer surgeon removed tumor. I inquired if this could result in complications, as I would soon have multiple radiation treatments on this right implant. Unger stated 'all would be fine.' I immediately developed capsular contracture with implant, and aftermath was a nightmare. I was treated in Occupational Therapy on a series of appointments to resolve. Yet, the contracture is severe. Big let-down!

Dr Unger was part of my treatment team for breast cancer. I would highly recommend him for anyone facing this condition and requiring surgery. Dr Unger is a great surgeon. He explains exactly what’s going on what’s going to happen and what to expect. He is very kind and compassionate his office staff are great. To receive a diagnosis of breast cancer can turn your world upside down and it’s wonderful to have a surgeon that is understanding of the situation and the anxiety that one might have going through this process. I am so fortunate to have had Dr Unger as part of my treatment team.

Dr. Unger is an incredible plastic surgeon. After researching for days I found Dr. Unger's before and after results on his website and was intrigued by the natural looking appearance of his rhinoplasty procedures. His patients all had remarkable transformations but nothing looked overdone or unnatural for their face. After some more digging around I only saw more good things so I scheduled my appointment at Maxwell Aesthetics and boy am I happy I did. Dr. Unger was extremely professional and helped put a lot of my concerns to ease in the consultation alone. He went over my options and even used some cool 3D imaging technology to sample my results for me. Futuristic or what?! After diffusing all my anxiety I made my decision and operated with Dr. Unger last June. My biggest fear coming in to everything was ending up with results that were drastically different from my doctor's expectations but this guy knows what he's doing. Everything went as planned and my nose looks great!

After being diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on my nose , I knew I had to have an exceptional plastic surgeon following the MOHS procedure to remove all of the cancer. Dr Unger was exactly who I needed to handle the complicated and challenging surgeries that were required to put me back together. He is smart, talented, caring and confident without being arrogant. He has taken great care of me with patience and compassion. His nurse, Kandice, was the calm in my storm on one particularly difficult day and I’m forever grateful for her. Would I recommend Dr Unger? Absolutely and without hesitation .

I cannot say enough about Dr. Unger!!!!! After having breast cancer and several reconstructive surgeries by a different physician, my oncologist recommended Dr. Unger. He did a great job correcting my previous reconstructions. His work is top notch along with his bedside manor!! I would definitely recommend him!!! ??????

In 2015 I tested positive for the BRCA II gene, I was 63 year old and scared. Dr. Jeanne Ballinger recommended Dr. Unger for my reconstruction. He was extremely patient with me and my husband, taking all the time we needed to explain the surgery, recovery and what I could expect the reconstructed breasts to look like. On the day of my surgery, he met with my Son, Daughter and two sisters and put them completely at ease about my procedure. I have referred two friends to Dr. Unger and will again.

Dr. Unger and his staff are amazing. My insurance was a nightmare to deal with, and Dr. Unger and his team never gave up on me and helping me get the much needed reduction. It took a year of them going back and forth with the insurance, but they finally got me approved. Dr. Unger has great bedside manners, and I was comfortable with him from the start. The best part, is that he is an AMAZING doctor, and my procedure was flawless. I am SO HAPPY with my results.

Doctor Unger is amazing. I have struggled with neck and back pain and chronic headaches for most of my adult life (I’m 39) due to having large breasts that are way to large for my small frame. After visiting many doctors that wouldn’t even consider working with insurance I was finally referred to Dr. Unger. His bedside manner is amazing and you can tell he absolutely cares about healing you, not just making money. His results are amazing and he truly changed my life. I’m forever grateful!

I had an abdominoplasty with muscle repair (and a hernia repair) and breast augmentation 1 week ago and Dr. Unger and everyone who works there made me feel very comfortable. Obviously he is very knowledgeable, but he and his staff are also patient, kind, caring, down-to-earth... I am a nervous nelly - thought about having this done for over two years- and he and the nurses (and anesthesiologist) could easily “read” me and they all put me at ease. I could not be happier with my experience there.

I have a question...first few times I was there I was not able to see Dr Unger. I only got to see some woman. I do not even know who she was...was she a nurse, an assistant, what? And she gave me a lot of wrong information and got me all excited only to find out she was wrong after talking to the actual surgeon... Why did I need her opinion? Would have saved me a lot of disappointment if I had been able to talk to the actual surgeon from the start.
