After my pancreatic cancer diagnosis in 2021, I seen Dr. Cox only three times in 36 months. The rest of the time I seen her PA, Britni Browning. From the beginning I refused Chemotherapy Infusion, opting for Chemo Pill instead. I made it perfectly clear why I made this decision, yet I was continually reminded to consider infusion treatments. I felt that my decisons were not respected, and quite frankly, I got tired of being treated like a child. Overall, I was treated with disrespect and I only give Fairbanks Cancer Center one star, and that is being generous.

I have only had one appointment with Dr Cox thus far. I felt she was very thorough very caring and up to date and forth coming with any and all of my questions. Waiting for some lab results now and a second appointment to determine what course of action or inaction that might be needed.

Dr Cox was very nice and explained the next step in my treatment. She took the time for me to understand the differences in the drug options, and helped me realize there are various ways to achieve the five year plan. Brittany Stepovich is one of Dr. Cox's staff and she is outstanding always smiling, helpful, knowledgeable, just a ray of sunshine on a sometimes overwhelming journey called cancer.

This is not my first choice for cancer diagnosis and treatment. There are much better doctors available even if you have to be away from home & family. This is your life. Do what is best for you. A second opinion changed my life & now I have experienced doctors that treat & diagnose my kind of cancer all the time. You only get one chance to get this done right. Start with the best opinion you can get. Experts don't live in Fairbanks, Alaska even if you do.

Well.... Where to start. Other than waiting 3 weeks for a simple blood test, Dr. Cox told us to come back in six months. Without further tests after the cancer had been DIAGNOSED. No CT Scan. She did;t even give a staging and said it "wasn't important at this time". WHAT!? Strange...The American Cancer Society says that staging is one of the MOST important places to start with a patient. Has it spread? Has it not? She literally just doesn't care. I had to ask THREE times to get a CT scan,,,

Dr. Cox is a very professional, knowledgeable oncologist. I have been going to her for about 15 months since my diagnosis for Multiple Myeloma cancer. Sometimes it amazes me the time she will take with my wife and I, and we never get the feeling that she needs to rush in and out to get to the next patient. I trust her and her advice for treatment.
