Dr. Muller’s dedication to a successful outcome for my treatment is obvious. I feel she genuinely cares about my getting better. She is thorough with great attention to detail and explains treatment options well. She gives meticulous instructions after each visit. She has an excellent supportive staff (especially Dr. Malawer) and her office is well run.

Left with permanent damage Profits over patients
If you suffer from dry eye, be cautious with Dr. Muller and look elsewhere.Early on, I appreciated her openness to various treatments, but now, after nearly a decade of managing my condition, I see her approach as random and unfocused. Rather than addressing the root cause of my dry eye (meibomian gland dysfunction), she prescribed systemic drugs with severe side effects and little relevance. Her clinic also appears to prioritize profit over patient care, with overbooked schedules and rushed five-minute consultations. Repeatedly lancing a chalazion on my eyelid caused permanent gland damage, which other specialists later advised could have been avoided. Additionally, I was misdiagnosed with Sjögren's syndrome, leading to months of needless worry. Costs here are extremely high—$2,000 for LipiFlow, which I found elsewhere for $700. For thorough, compassionate dry eye care, I recommend seeking a specialist like Dr. Toyos, who spends time with patients and offers more reasonable rates.

Dr. Jacqueline Muller
Dr Muller is a tour de force. I have been a practicing physician for 55 years & have known many excellent doctors . She’s at the top of the heap. She is a whirlwind of energy, kind, compassionate and most important, she practices at the vanguard of occular surface disease. I have struggled with dry eye disease for 20 years & have seen numerous ophthalmologists all over the country, & she is the only one who has significantly helped me . She uses cutting edge knowledge & technology in her treatments, done in the setting of a lovely office with an excellent staff. I am most impressed with her office internship program for young women in a gap year before attending medical or PA school. This is an altruistic endeavor that I have never before seen in a private practice. All of this is why I have traveled monthly from Virginia to see her & will continue to do so as long as necessary.

My Optomoligist recommended that I see Dr Muller for a dry eye condition. After a very thorough eye examination, Dr. Muller determined that my myobium glands were clogged and not producing enough natural oils , therefore I had extremely severe dry eyes. Dr. Muller and her staff took the time to explain what steps I needed to take with prescribing the correct treatment and medication to get my eyes back to a healthy state.

Dr. Muller, educator, guide and superb doctor
I have been going to Dr. Muller for 6 months. It was challenging for me to hear about my condition but once I understood and was educated about it, I could accept, apply the knowledge and take responsibility for improving my condition. All of this is the result of an extraordinary doctor and a highly professional experience at Dr. Muller's office. My condition is treatable and each time I have a milestone I am proud of having followed the protocol and respecting Dr. Muller's process. She is extraordinary and I have learned and grown from my medical experience with her.

Is Dr Muller the best eye doctor in New York City?
Well… I would say so. She did my Lasic surgery 15yrs or more ago, and i just tested 20/20 today. So I think she knows what she’s doing. Unfortunately I’ve had some other eye infection issues not related to my surgery, and each time I find my visits with her calming and reassuring. She finds the root of the problem, and gets to work. The lady knows her her stuff. Is she cheap, no. But do you want the best doctor touching your eyes, or do you want to save some shekels and have bigger problems? I leave that choice to you. But seriously, her team are pros. She’s the best. Don’t waste time trying others. Just go to her. I just saved you a lot of time.

I can't say enough about Dr. Muller. I had been suffering for 5 months, going from ophthalmologist to ophthalmologist, until I found Dr. Muller. Her level of expertise was evident from the moment she started treating me. I am receiving the highest level of care from her and the state of the art technology that she uses. Her staff are extremely versed, efficient and a pleasure to have interactions with. I can go on and on. I travel two hours each way to see Dr. Muller and I wouldn't have it any other way. I highly recommend Dr. Muller. She saved my eyes!!!

A Lifesaver
If I could put more stars than 5, I would. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Muller and her staff. My mother and sister both developed such severe dry eye that it impeded their lives catastrophically. They had pain all day and could not enjoy any activities nor work. I really didn't know what the future held for them. My sister could have become vision impaired if this situation had continued. Making matters worse, many opthamologists do not understand dry eye....they simply recommend refresh drops that don't help when the situation is complex nor severe. My sister lives in Canada & even the dry eye specialists she had seen for 2 years there could not help her. She flew to NY to see Dr. Muller after reading an article she wrote in a journal, and that was the best move she could have made. Dr. Muller has helped both of them become pain free and resume their daily activies - my sister can work, & my mother can enjoy her life. Dr Muller is brilliant, warm and caring & a lifesaver.

Expert Professional Help with Dry Eye
I've seen Dr. Muller's for a few years. Before Dr. Muller, I was having a hard time w/ dry eye symptoms and saw other doctors before w/o progress. I researched for a doctor w/ more experience/practice addressing dry eye which led me to Dr. Muller. I found my other prior eye doctors might say they had experience addressing dry eye but none put much focus on it or had much to offer besides eye drops. Dr. Muller's practice instead recognizes that many people struggle w/ dry eye and her practice includes a wide range of treatment options specifically for dry eye to aggressively address the issue. What I like best about Dr. Muller's approach is that she is ready and willing to aggressively treat the symptoms w/ all available options to help patients achieve improvement quickly. She is patient/understanding and carefully/clearly explains the issues and available options. She is a professional w/ deep knowledge of the issues and avail treatment options. I'm so pleased with our progress!!!
