Good physician, but problematic elsewhere
Excellent endoscopist, but the staff at their endoscopy center is deplorable. Scheduling is very difficult, and wait times in the office are very long.

Great doctor
From consultation appointment to having an endoscopy/colonoscopy with him, Dr. Dong is great! He has good bedside manners, respectful, compassionate, and kind. Thoroughly discusses with you any results or possibilities. I have had bad experiences with past Korean doctors & doctors in general, but Dr. Dong gives me more faith in healthcare in the US. Very thankful I decided to choose him as my Gastroenterologist.

Not good experience
Dr. Dong did a colonoscopy on me. Found 5 polyps. Removed 4. When I asked why he didn’t get the 5th he told me he was in there for 30 mins and got tired. His report also stated operator fatigue. My appointment was at 8:30 am. I was one of the first for the day. He recommended I come back in 3-6 months to remove the 5th one. I did follow his guidance but went to a different doctor and practice 3 months later. That doctor removed the 5th polyp and found several others that she removed. Dr. Dong did not leave me with a good impression or feeling of competence.

Knowledgeable, Informative, Caring & Listens
Dr. Dong remembered my past medical history, that was amazing, information I had given him couple years past. When you have worked with a specific doctor for some time, he knows exactly how to make things better for you and your digestive health. I like that.

Great doctor! Seriously, if you are looking for a GI doctor who will take time, treat you as more than a number then this is the doctor and practice for you. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy with another GI who after the procedure had his unhelpful assistant deliver the news and failed to return any calls or queries for explanations. I fired that doctor and luckily the first I tried after is Dr. Dong who explained everything to me that the other doctor did not.
