Dr. Jagriti Upadhyay, MD

I went in because my testosterone is low, less than half of the average guys my age lowest 1%. The only suggestion they gave me was to lose weight. I’m already 16% body fat, work out 10 over hours a week and have an overtly athletic build. Every single one of my levels is normal or athletic. They only said this because my BMI is high but did not try to factor in my build or extreme height. I told them specifically I would have to be at a ~negative~ body fat percentage to be considered ~normal~ by the BMI. Still, no specific dietary advice either, just lose weight. If I lost anymore, I would be underweight. They only stared at their charts the whole time, never looked at me as a person.I fear I might have cancer or other serious medical condition to explain my sudden extreme drop in testosterone. They simply ignored providing any real advice and I could not get them to take this matter seriously. They are a doctor that is divorced from reality and is extremely lazy with care.

Dr. Upadhyay is truly an exceptional physician. She is thorough, thoughtful and empathetic, and comfortable taking time to clearly explain the pros and cons of one’s options, and answer any questions one may have. In addition, she is the rare practitioner, in today’s world of dollar-driven health care, who closely follows each of her patients, and takes the time and the initiative to reach out, personally, should any issue arise during treatment.

Dr Upadhyay is wonderful. She is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I never feel rushed in my appointments. She listened to all my health concerns and worked with me to create a plan to improve my health. She cares about me feeling better. I highly recommend Dr Upadhyay.

Dr. Upadhyay is very knowledgeable and listens to me during my appointments. She doesn’t dismiss my symptoms. What she has been doing for me is process of elimination with tests. Her end goal is to make me feel better. She is genuine and cares about us!

After seeing one other endocrinologist who was clearly way behind the times in his knowledge of osteoporosis, I was greatly relieved after talking with Dr. Upadhyay because she was very knowledgeable about osteoporosis drugs, tests and supplements. She laid out a plan for me for the next few years that I am very comfortable with so I am very glad I found her.
