Dismissive
I have joint pain. I work a mid level labor job. ,(moving furniture, cleaning carpets, hauling trash) Her recommendation? "You're overweight do a workout and not just once." Like she had no clue what I did for a living. I told her about my foot pain and after a few hundred dollars worth of x-rays, I have heel spurs, and atrophied Achilles, plantar fasciitis. The recommendation? Wear shoes. That's it. Wear shoes. Wow. I would have been better off dropping the money at the casino.

Dismissive and Gaslight happy
I had to see Dr. Payne for a hospital follow up due to my own PCP not being available. Although I had recently had a normal annual, she immediately had me fill out another depression/anxiety form. I should have seen it coming, she came in and was quick to say that I was just mentally ill and making things up. I literally hear a physical whooshing in my ear that matches my heart beat, lost sensation in my thumb and tongue, and have swelling that’s worse on one side of my face. But that’s all just in my head right? She did not even evaluate the location where I lost sensation. I told her I wrote out a list of questions and concerns and she literally says “oh great” in a completely annoyed tone. What is the point of her even being a healthcare provider if you cannot ask her health related questions or share concerns? She is extremely rude and quick to gaslight you. She didn’t even address any of my questions and suggested things totally unrelated to my concerns.

I was referred to Dr. Payne by a friend. I was new to the state and she refused to fill half the meds my previous doctor had me on for my mental health needs. It took months to get an appointment in the first place and i have asthma so i needa doctor. Next time i had a large lump in my leg. This has never happened before. She said oh its a fat globual it will probably get bigger. She was very dismissive and it went away. She is argumentative and does not respect the patient . She is arrogant and will not consider the patients own experiance .check what country she got her license too because it's not from here and should be questioned . I would Not send anyone to her.

This doctor does not pay attention to you when you describe your symptoms. She misdiagnosed me because she didn't read my medical history and listen to the symptoms I described to her. I should have known there was something wrong with her because AFTER 15 minutes of discussing my symptoms and showed my area of pain, Dr. Payne literally asked "ok, why are you here?" I gave her a confused look and she elaborated with "I mean why did you come in? What did you want us to do for you?" What doctor asks these questions? My scheduled appointment listed why I was coming in and the nurse had me elaborate and typed up the symptoms in more detail before Dr. Payne walked in (had me wait for 20 minutes in the exam room). Again, Dr. Payne had me reiterate everything in the first 15 minutes of our meeting and yet still asked why I was there. In the end, I had to get some tests that she believed was the problem which turned out to be negative. This has to be the most incompetent doctor I've ever met.

I saw her at a clinic about a year ago. I need a referral to an endocrinologist and called her to ask her to do that. After leaving a message, her office called back with a refusal to do so. I am not a patient of hers; she does not me to become one, therefore, no referral. She is NOT accepting new patients according to her staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Payne for a couple of years now and I am looking for a new primary care doctor. Dr. Payne seems good at first but she does not listen to me very well. I really want a doctor who practices patient centered care and Dr. Payne's care is doctor centered. I just don't feel respected. The office has improved vastly since last year in terms of getting patients in for same day appointments and returning messages.

Dr. Payne had been my PCP for over 4 years and is the doctor that welcomed my daughter into the world. I've never felt rushed, unheard, or brushed off. She and her nursing staff truly treat each patient as if they are the most important one. Dr. Payne has been my daughter's PCP since birth and makes each visit fun for her so she doesn't fear going in.

Her admin staff and scheduling staff is abysmal. For a week I' have been trying to schedule an appointment her and he front desk without hearing a single word from me puts me on hold and keeps on hold for 25 minutes and then I lose patience and hang up. I try again after 20 minutes and same thing happens. On that day I must have called their office 10 times, Eventually I left a voicemail and I even asked my wife to leave a voicemail and it’s been over a week and no one has gotten back to us.

She spent as much time as I wanted in discussing a new issue when I couldn't get in to see my primary care physician. Very thorough and excellent at explaining things.
