I was assigned to him by St Anthony's Hospital for a kidney stone. This led to 10 weeks in 3 different hospitals. I am not a happy camper

No communication for major surgery
PA informed me I needed major surgery. Could never speak with her or doctor again "too busy" despite trying to coordinate cancer care.

I first met Dr. Shah about 10 or more years ago. I was in St Anthony's for back pain and I knew it was recurrent kidney stones. I had a feeling that I was one of his first patients and he told me so about a year later. He has a great bedside manner and when I told him so he seemed a little embarrassed. Anyway, he listened to me carefully and when I told him my history with stones he said most patients know what their problem is and he was not going to order a slew of tests, just a CT and it was done the same day. When the results were in he came back and confirmed the stones. I have had procedures throughout the years some not invasive, some invasive. All I know is my kidney pain was gone. I would recommend Dr. Shah for any urinary problems.

My husband WAS the patient of Dr. Shah, he had an awful experience, the Dr spent no more than five minutes with him while meeting for the first time, he was very unprofessional, never tried to get to know my husbands health history, he was very cold and told my husband that he has cancer simply by looking at one blood test, my husband tried to ask a question as this was very shocking and Devastating news to receive, the doctor caught him off and handed him a script for a biopsy and ended the visit. Dr. Shah has the worst bedside manners, zero companion, will never go back or recommend him to anyone.

When I met with Dr. Shah, we discussed various alternative urologic treatment strategies. He then outlined a complex plan that involved switching meds, seeing what happens after two weeks, and potentially adding another med. I am already using multiple medications for my urological issues. When he left me and I checked out, they made an appointment for a year from now, but didn't give me anything in writing to summarize the plan. This turned out to be a problem when my pharmacy called and asked whether the Rx he ordered was a substitute for something else. I said yes, and gave them the name of a med, but I am not sure if that was the right medication. I called the next day and left a message for his clinical assistant asking for a written treatment plan. Unfortunately, neither she nor Dr. Shah called me back (it has now been 4 days). Then 3 days ago, I sent a message through the BayCare portal. They have yet to open it. So I still don't know what to do.
