Not likely to recommend to anyone. My 89 yr. old mother had gallbladder surgery performed by Dr. Cardella and when she returned for follow up with severe pain in abdomen, at the site of one of her incisions, he didn't bother to look at incisions and didn't ask where the pain was at in her abdomen. I had said she is losing weight because she can barely eat anything, he responded " maybe put a feeding tube down her throat to her stomach ". She was pretty healthy before this surgery , now she falling away to nothing and he seemed to not really care about how she is after her surgery. He said he would order a CT scan but "Probably won't show anything ". This doctor had no empathy whatsoever for my mother and she has been suffering ever since he operated. I will be seeking a second opinion about her pain. I hope in the future he changes his bed side manner and shows some compassion for his patients or go into another profession. I would never recommend this doctor.
