Dr. James Connolly, MD

I was bleeding out from my nose really bad, Been to two other ENT’s from Shreveport la, to Gulfport Ms. and they would say “ oh it’s your blood pressure” I want buying that. This went on for some time and one day I bled for over 4 hours in the ER. I found Dr. Connolly by going to the ER in Covington la. Dr. Connolly scoped my nose and immediately found the problem. There was a tumor and aneurism in the floor of my sinuses. He Took me through surgery and fix the problem. I cannot thank Dr Connolly enough for helping me. I got a huge sense of calmness when he found the issue I had been struggling and bleeding out for almost a year where the other ENT’s could care less! I recommend Dr. Connolly and SLENT to anyone and everyone! I want to give thanks to Ashley his assistant as well and the entire SLENT staff! My quality of life is so much better. Thank you again Dr. Connolly and staff!

Saw Dr. Connolly for multiple visits after falling and rupturing ear. He was always in a hurry, got aggravated (was actually rude) when I asked a few questions, and has absolutely NO 'bedside manner'. He set up multiple audiology tests that showed same results, and scheduled visits with him after each. After the foregoing experiences and sitting in waiting area, observing, I submit to all that No. 1 SLENT priority is maximizing revenue, with no patient 'caring' at all. I would say Dr Connolly's manner is the worst of any doc I have seen in my lifetime. He should either retire.

Excellent doctor but bedside manner not there.

Dr. Connelly is rude and belittling. There is a definitely a nicer approach to getting a point across. I’m on the search for a new allergist.

I have been seeing Dr. Connolly for over 2 years. He also performed nasal surgery on me, but he checked every issues and outcomes on many test before we agreed on the surgery. Dr. Connolly and the whole staff are compassionate and professional.

Never had an ENT take so much time to examine and question me. Past doctors write a script, shove me out the door and say hopefully that will help

I went to Dr Connolly’s office because I was having trouble hearing in my right ear and I was getting a dark brown discharge in the ear. Doctor found out that I had an ear infection and put me on medical ear drops for a week. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent ENT doctor.

Had a Tele-Health appointment with Dr. Connolly this past Saturday. He was extremely thorough, asked a lot of questions and explained everything in detail, including medication instructions. This was a very good experience & very much appreciated at this time.

Dr.connolly gave me the most complete exam for my allergies now. I can use most allergy medications over the counter he explained all about my allergies and how they work. Then he asked me if I had trouble sleeping told him yes. He gave me a test about needing a cpap machine . I failed it and needed one. No one had ever addressed that subject. His office staff which is very friendly checked my insurance and got in touch with the cpap machine people and I started wearing one. I love it and sleep with it every night. If I would not gone to see Dr Connolly I would not be sleeping all night and have not gotten my allergies under control. Dr. Connolly did not push me to take all kind of allergy test nor was he aggressive but with his knowledge got right to the diagnosis. I would recommend him to anyone. He and his staff are great. has made Me get a good night sleep. The staff and doctor are great and friendly. Ialso love the system were they text and email you that your appt is coming.

Dr Connolly takes the time to understand what is going on before treating his patients. After several years, we decided on surgery, but he spoke to my allergist, my eye doctor, and my primary care physician to understand the full picture and to build the case for the insurance company. Only complaint I would have is they are ~very~ adept at reminders before appointments... texts, emails, robocalls, and nurse calls!

I have sleep Apnea and was also snoring because of nasal stenosis + a deviated septum. Dr Connolly and his team addressed ALL of my issues. I now use a CPAP for my apnea . My APIs have dropped from 53 (initial sleep study) to about 10-15 today. He later performed an outpatient procedure to open my nasal passages using only local anesthetic and a new machine called a VIVAER. I drove myself home! Not long ago that same procedure would have required general anesthesia. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Dr. Connolly is a great physician because he is the consummate professional who is expertly competent and extremely knowledgeable. He is an even greater physician because he is caring and compassionate in his dealings with the patient. He goes above and beyond to attend to his patient's needs. I saw him for the first time when I was suffering from a traumatic experience and he and his super staff guided me through that experience with expert care, attentiveness, follow-up and true concern.

Today my little one at only 6 months old needed tubes placed in his ears. I would like to say that Dr. Connolly was amazing with everything from explaining what he was going to do at his office all the way to checking on us in recovery at the surgical center! I am so happy we have him as an ENT!! I would highly recommended Dr. Connolly to anyone!!! We had a great experience and it’s all do to him!!!

Dr. Connolly is by far the nicest, most caring and attentive Dr! He did my daughters tubes and removed her adenoids. The next day he called to check on her, that sealed the deal for me with him! Highly recommend Dr Connolly!

Dr. Connolly and his staff has been awesome when it comes to patient care, especially in times of an emergency. The medical care is top notch and the effective treatment has helped my live a more normal life with a chronic medical issue.

When I came to Dr. Connolly I had seen five specialists concerning a throat issue that was never solved. Dr. Connolly has worked to ease my severe allergy issues and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a doctor that doesn't just write a prescription and say, "next!". Went to Dr Connolly with external ear pain. He was very gentle while examining and cleaning my ears. Had never had my ears cleaned before and didn't really know what to expect. Totally painless, couldn't even feel it. I have had a clear drippy nose, coughing and hoarseness for bout 6 years and he addressed that by prescribing a nasal spray (that I had never used before). After the first application of it, I knew that he helped me tremendously!! I am basically cough free now! Highly recommend him

When we are sick we want a Doctor. When we go on vacation we want a friend. With Dr. Connolly we get both! Dr. Connolly is an excellent and caring Doctor. He gives you a relaxed and comfortable experience with each visit. He has surrounded himself with awesome and friendly nurses and office staff. Real people helping and serving real people.
