Dr. James Deterding, MD

I met Dr. Deterding by being on dialysis. He see the patients at my dialysis facility. He has been very informative and proactive in my care. He seems cell versed in what each patient is experiencing. He makes his point, answers your questions and is friendly in doing so. I feel grateful that we crossed paths .

Dr Deterding has been extremely helpful in managing my chronic hypertension. He has succeeded where other MDs have failed.

I have been seeing Dr. Deterding for about the past 18 years. Good and Dr. Deterding are the reasons I'm alive today and doing well. Dr.Deterding is an extremely intelligent doctor, along with being a great nephrologist. I see him every 3 months for my post transplant follow up. Dr.Deterding is very easy to talk with and discuss your issues with. I wish there were more doctors like him.

My brother and sister-in-law both have been seeing Dr. Deterding for years. I personally have accompanied them. Dr. Deterding is very personable and takes time to answer questions and explain procedures or possible problem each and every time I have been present as he completes a thorough examination every time. I was actually surprised at the thoroughness of his examination since he is “only” a kidney doctor. I would definitely make an appointment with him should the need arise.

I have been seeing this doctor for a while and finally concluded he may not be as qualified or really interested in my health improvement, just being hooked on excessive treatment. Does not listen, or care to look deeper, just prescribes and diagnose according to the standard operating procedures are, and guesstimate that are way off. As a result my health has deteriorated considerably, two second opinions have shown a different course of action could have meant much better outcome, too late .
