My experiences regarding my multiple knee and shoulder injuries over the years with this surgeon and his staff are unparalleled. Excellent physician and competent, friendly, caring staff. I will always recommend this physician and staff without hesitation.

He seemed great. Very personable. But my knee has always been worse after my surgery w him. Swelling never went away. Its been years.

Recently had rotator cuff surgery and I cannot say enough about Dr Dettling. I’ve never had a doctor come back in after surgery to see me and ask how I was and explain everything to me, even after he already saw my husband and explained things. He was truly concerned for my well being immediately after surgery. Everyone at the hospital from nurses to other doctors sang his praises and I was told multiple times that all the forms I filled out he reads prior to surgery. He not only is knowledgeable but a caring doctor.

Do not go to this dr!! If you tell him about a complaint, he will not put it in his notes. And then will lie that you told him things time after time to the attorneys. Don't trust him. He does not work for you. He works for the insurance company. Yes, he is the knights dr but he and his staff uses that as a marketing tool. He will not treat you correctly. He will rush your appt as he is a numbers dr.

Great experience from making the appointment to seeing Dr Dettling. Wonderful staff and Dr. Dettling is very informative.

In 2016 I was sent to Dr. Dettling for a Workmen’s Comp. injury severely torn rotator cuff and my bicep was torn in half for other muscles in my shoulder were torn and a tendon from day one he was in credible very caring listen to everything I had to say my shoulder is better than it ever has been his office staff very courteous very friendly I would recommend him to anyone sincerely Kevin barboza

Dr. Dettling handled my severely torn rotator cuff and torn bicep tendon. He was fantastic! Great bedside manner,exceptional staff,and thorough physical therapy sessions. I am as good as new. I highly recommend him to anyone.

My husband was sent to dettling after a workmans' comp. injury while working for CCSD. His exam was so terrible and dettling would not listen to anything we attempted to tell him, he wouldn't even look at my husband or me. He kept his head down during the entire visit. Apparently WC patients are treated differently than regular patients. He gave my husband a cortisone shot in his knee without an ultrasound and most of the shot was squirted on the wall.He was sent back to work and couldn't walk.
