Horrible doctor
Tried to make an appointment with my usual derm but was assigned to Donnelly. I have a strong history of skin cancers. I was concerned about a suspicious spot on my nose. He blew me off, sprayed it with liquid nitrogen & told me to come back in two months if it didn’t go away. Two months later & same thing. No treatment. Basically blew me off again. Now two months later again, I made an appointment with a different practice & immediately the spot on my face was biopsied. Now I am facing a rare aggressive form of skin cancer with possibility of metastasis! Don’t go to this man! I would not trust him with my worst enemy!

Rushed and not understanding
Went in for a suspected basal cell carcinoma(Dr. Bell, who I normally see, was unavailable). He abruptly entered the room and interrupted me too many times to count - that didn't bother me too much as I was thinking he had other patients to see and didn't want alot of 'chit-chat' - however his 'bed-side manner' was less than ideal. Moving forward, I required a biopsy, got scheduled, but had to cancel due to work, was rescheduled. Had to cancel the next appointment due to work. Recently, when I attempted to get my appointment scheduled, was told Dr. Donnelly 'was adamant' with not seeing me due to 'no shows' even though I canceled them. I would highly consider seeing someone else based upon my experiences with him. If a doctor chooses not to gain an understanding of why there was a need to cancel, perhaps, he isn't thinking of the overall patient experience that he can create. Just because he is a doctor doesn't mean he's immune to the consequences of poor care and poor character.

I had an appointment recently with Dr. Donnelly and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a physician. He constantly cuts off your sentences, is very condescending, did not answer any of my questions, and basically did not want to do his job. I literally thought I was being punked. I now have to start the process all over again with what I would call a real dermatologist. I felt this person should not be in his position anymore. He had no interest in anything that was going on in that exam room which included addressing why I was there. I left there confused about what just happened and not knowing anything about the reason I came.

Dismissive
I saw Dr Donnelly in Feb 2022 for an annual skin check. He started by telling me I don't need to do this annually and then barely looked at my skin. I won't be going back to him.

My daughters and I have been seeing Dr. Donnelly for several years. He's treated acne, warts, skin tags, keratoses, pre-cancerous lesions. I've never had a problem getting him to explain whatever issue we're dealing with or treatment options. He's busy and he doesn't waste time, but I've never felt he didn't listen to me.

I usually see another very qualified doctor in his office, but she was booked through December and I wanted to make sure to have my annual skin check on time. Dr. Donnelly marched in, asked me why I wasn’t taking a medication with side effects affecting 1/3 of patients - why would you live with skin like this? I have had eczema since birth so it was rather insulting that he treated me like it was a choice I made to have eczema. I said I was here for an annual skin check up. “I don’t do those.” From what I see your skin is fine. I asked if he could at least check my back etc for any skin issues. “You look fine” but I would take that medication because it’s worth the chance to make your skin look better. Insulting, degrading and exactly the type of physician that should not see patients.

This is a terrible practice. My daughter had an appointment with dr Donnelly. She waited 45 min for her appointment and was never seen. According to front desk staff there was some "glitch" with the insurance company . We have never had another issue with insurance and never did before. We went to another practice and have been treated wonderfully. Would not recommend this practice!!

I had very disappointing visit at dr. Donnelly's office. He didn't show any interest what I had to say, he was very ignorant and most of all he ignored skin anomaly which had to treated by another doctor. I felt that I was an intruder in his office. Definitely would not recommend this doctor to anybody.

Dr. Donnelly did not listen to me at all. He argued with me about my skin's improvement. I tried to tell him how much of an extreme improvement there had been between my 2nd and 3rd visits (4 months apart) and he argued saying my skin had gotten worse. He had only met me three times and only looked at my skin closely once. He never spent more than 2 minutes with me. And yet he was arguing saying my skin had gotten much worse. I hardly even have acne anymore, it was ridiculous, rude, infuriating.

Dr. Donnelly may be fine but his office is not. Requested an appointment online with several day options between 8-10. Got an appointment for 11:15 but decided to make it work anyway. Wasted my whole day for this appointment just to get to the office and find a note on the door saying they closed for the day. They had my phone number and my email address and yet no one could let me know this. Not happy with St. Luke's.
