Dr. James Fagelson, MD

Had my first appointment yesterday and it went smoothly .Staff was friendly and Dr was right on time .Had reviewed my records thoroughly and was prepared to discuss next steps including imaging and medication changes. Very happy with overall appointment and would highly recommend.

I recently had another appointment with Dr Fagelson. He explained everything well, and left me feeling confident of the game plan we set up. He’s always prompt, and this was no exception.

Dr Fagelson is always timely and appt all goes well. I’ve been going to Dr Fagelson for over 8 years, very happy.

Dr. Fagleson was recommended by a colleague when I was having major issues with my previous urologist. I am much happier with Dr. Fagelson and feel that he really cares about his patients.

Dr. Fagelson treated me for two different types of cancer 10 years ago, and I am still cancer free. He is kind, friendly, and spends time productively. I have no problems working with him on any other issues that come up.

I experienced kidney stone blockage and was able to leave an appointment request on line. The team got back to me, twice, to get me in quickly. Got meds to help and scheduled the CT Scan quickly.

He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and he is an excellent surgeon whether it is an open procedure or robotic assisted.

Dr. Fagelson was very helpful and caring following a kidney stone procedure. He was on time, talked me through next steps, and answered any questions I had.

Professialism - on time visit - answered my questions - reviewed my history and future procedure.

I was showing early stage symptoms of a recurring issue and transferring from a practice member that has retired. Rather than start from square one, Dr. Fagelson immediately scheduled me for the imaging and I was free to go. The appointment started on time and ended promptly when the objectives were met.

I recently had a vasectomy performed by Dr. Fagelson, and I cannot express enough how positive the entire experience was. From the initial consultation to the procedure, Dr. Fagelson demonstrated a level of professionalism, expertise, and compassion that put me completely at ease. During our first meeting, Dr. Fagelson took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, addressing all of my questions and concerns with patience and clarity. I never felt rushed or pressured, and his calm demeanor reassured me that I was in good hands. On the day of the procedure, everything was handled with the utmost care. The procedure itself was quick and relatively painless, thanks to Dr. Fagelson’s skill and attention to detail. He made sure I was comfortable throughout and explained each step as he went along, which really helped to alleviate any anxiety I had. I would highly recommend Dr. Fagelson for anyone seeking a vasectomy.

I was referred to Dr. Fagelson for an evaluation. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. My visit was a positive experience and I’ll be returning if or when I need Dr. Fagelson’s expertise.

I saw James for a vasectomy and I would highly recommend him. He was friendly and the procedure was quick and relatively painless. Recovery time was fairly quick and now 3 months later, it’s as if nothing was done!

Went in for a bladder scope and was told that would approximately cost around $500 only to have them charge my insurance company over $8k. Before the surgery, the PA charged over $800 for simply going over what to expect during the bladder surgery which was about 5 minutes long. She obviously has her own practice and charges based on the minutes spent with her which was a waste of time.I have never had to pay a deposit along with an estimated fee before a surgery and this practice has two offices, Park Ridge Surgery and Urology Associates, so you are getting billed by both offices which is a complete rip off. I had surgery at Park Ridge and was billed additionally by Urology Associates for doing nothing. Horrible service! After the surgery, I did not hear back from Dr. Fagelson for over a week to see how I was doing and that conversation lasted about a minute total.

Been in pain for months the Dr was quick at e allaying and making a decision that I was leaning towards after talking to othe people with complains.

Straight forward approach. Get it done.

Most impressed with how promptly the doctor saw me (extremely rare for an MD to be exactly on time). And then his willingness to discuss my situation. Never felt rushed or that he wanted to cut me off. He listened patiently and responded thoroughly to all of my concerns. Only when I had nothing left to ask did the appointment end

Dr Fagelson was very friendly and informative. I would recommend him highly.

Been under his and his team’s care for 18 mo. Since my Cyberknife treatment in Oct ‘22 there has been no sign of prostate cancer.
