After an extensive 9 hour surgery in 2006 to remove oral cancer, Dr. Geraghty has been following up with me every 6 months to check and reassure me that it hasn't came back. On this visit, I was having an issue with a sore gum after 2 trips to the dentist and no improvement. Naturally concerned that it might have come back, instead of taking a biopsy of the affected area and making it more sore, he decided to try a 2 week antibiotic regimen first and then a promise of an immediate return appointment, if necessary. Much to my amazement, it has seemed to resolve the issue.
