A little nervous about removal of a fairly large kidney stone. But Dr Johannes put me at ease immediately. Calmly and in terms I understood he showed me the radiology studies and explained everything in perfect detail that I needed to know or asked. I couldn’t see his smile because of mask requirement, but I could see gentleness and compassion in his eyes. Dr Johannes takes his time with you. You definitely do not feel rushed. I knew I was in excellent hands and was extremely happy that I chose him to do my surgery.

I was suffering from an enlarged prostrate for over 15 years before Dr.Johannes came toI felt I had come to the right place immediately. Dr. Johannes was insightful on why past treatments had been unsuccessful, explained a number of treatment options, the risks of each and the chances of a positive outcome. He was also very patient with all my questions. He has a very pleasant bedside manner and I was impressed with his knowledge and experience . On that very first visit, I did not hesitate to make an appointment immediately for the procedure he recommended. The surgery was very successful. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Johannes took the time to visit me after, explain how it had gone and what to expect in the next few weeks. The nursing staff at the hospital were also all wonderful. The pre and post-surgery care could not have been better. All in all, my commendations to the entire team at the Urology center at Leigh Valley Hospital Network. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Johannes is very professional and courteous. He has provided detailed explanation of my procedure and performed it brilliantly. His staff was also very accommodating and polite answering every question and helping with all requests. I would very strongly recommend Dr. Johannes!

Dr Johannes was wonderful! He was knowledgeable and explained the upcoming procedure to me in depth,so I felt confident in his abilities. I had surgery to remove a 9mm kidney stone and I was VERY nervous on the day of the procedure,and the staff was SO caring and comforting. I’m back to normal 1 week post surgery! Dr Johannes saved my life when another Dr made a grave error I ended in kidney failure because past urologist refused to hear me almost died I was revered to Dr Johannes they told me he is a excellent Dr. And he truly cares for his patients three botched kidney stone removal from other Dr and in my first visit Dr. Johannes looked over labs listened to me and with out surgery and in about 6he resolved a 7.5 kidney stone because he heard everything I said I begged other Dr to listen refused.

A total was of time after waiting 6 weeks for the first visit don't expect any answers, it is nothing but a consultation, If your going here you've been thru this with your family doctor. So you'll have to make ANOTHER appointment wait 2-3 weeks pay another copay to finally meet a real doctor. He might act as if he's caring asks about your symptoms mid conversation your cut off as they jam a rod in your urethra and 2 mins later out the door. I had better. They have a job your just a number.

Dr. Johannes is a good doctor! My only comment is he wasn't as comfortable about non aggressive treatment for elderly patients. He accepted the decision but was obvious uncomfortable. We need to find that balance between quality of life and treatment of disease, as the elderly age. Healthcare provider do not do this well
