Dr. James Kambol, MD

Dr. Kambol not only doesn’t listen to which pharmacy was preferred when sending in a prescription, but he did not even send it over to ANY pharmacy. When I didn’t get a call from an Urology referral he said he completed, I called my primary office, and they confirmed the referral was never made. I drove an extra 15 miles past the Froedert ER so I could stay in network, and I now regret staying in that much pain for longer than I needed to for the treatment and follow up I received.

Dr Kambol is nothing short of a miracle worker! My mother developed an acute ulceration on her lower leg. Her primary care physician called Dr. Kambol since he had seen her in the past for a different wound. He immediately took the call and had us transferred to the Froedtert South facility where my mother was checked in. Debridement surgery was immediately scheduled for the next morning. Dr. Kambol has been amazing to work with over the past 7 months, and we are so Blessed that he has been part of my mom's care team.

A few years back I showed up at the ER in the worst pain of my life. Since I had lived in my body for 40 years, I was quite confident it was an ovarian cyst, and I told the doctor this. I essentially gave him the diagnosis, all I needed was treatment. Dr. Kambol told me that I was incorrect and that my pain was too high up to be ovarian, and that it was probably diverticulitis. I disagreed with this and asked for an ultrasound. He said "no"- this called for a CT of the abdomen. I was not a fan of being exposed to the extra radiation for nothing, but oh well- he's the expert. Sure enough... CT scan showed THREE cysts on one ovary totaling 7cm. Needless to say, I showed back up in the ER later that same night in excruciating pain (worse than labor) and it took HOURS to get pain meds in a QUIET ER. Somehow I'm pretty sure if I were a man my experience would have been much different. Overall, this experience couldn't have been worse for something so simple and straightforward.
