Avoid for pediatric care
My daughter is 5 and needed her tonsils looked at. No culture was needed, he just needed to look. When it was time to examine, he did not tell my daughter what was happening, he simply pushed her head back and pushed the tongue depressor in her mouth. She squirmed away as any kid would with no warning so he asked her to sit on my lap. I told her he was just trying to look and that we’d try again. He then forced her head still through her fighting back and gagging. I know this happens with kids during throat swabs sometimes, and you have to just power through as long as the provider is being gentle so they can get a sample, but but this was not a swab and he was forceful and aggressive. I asked him to back up and he just kept going against my wishes. My daughter’s lip was cut open and bleeding and all he would say was, “sorry for your experience.” I don’t complain often, or even leave bad reviews, but this man absolutely should not treat children. Switching to Umass forever.

Very unprofessional
Definitely I do not recommend him. Went to have a consult for my three years old boy. I let one of the medical assistant know he needs to use the bathroom. Did not take us 3 minutes to walk back and this provider was taking my stuff out to have see other patient. Didn't understand why I was referred to him that seemed unprofessional, overall bedside manner very poor

Dr. Kenealy treated one of my daughters for nearly 3 years and we cannot say enough good things about him. He always made us feel welcome and my daughter very comfortable. He also explained everything to us and always made sure we had no more questions before ending the appointment. He is one of the most caring doctors we have dealt with.

Aggressively dismissive. No questions allowed
He seemed irritated I was there for a follow up for the problem I had. He was very dismissive of the discomfort it caused me on a regular basis. He didn’t want to hear from me why I came back in- I had to basically interrupt him to let him know how much my problem was bothering me. He had a very poor overall bedside manner. I saw him about 9 months ago for the first time, and I followed his recommendations for that amount of time, but didn’t see improvement. I tried to ask him at my follow up if there was anything else to be done. He accused me of pushing for surgery, even though he brought surgery up, not me. I said that I wasn’t, I was open to whatever he could suggest, and I asked why he wouldn’t recommend surgery. He just said: “people have regretted it”. I asked why did they regret it? He said “once your tonsils are out you can’t put them back in”. Then I had to ask “well why would you want to put them back in?”… he was very condescending. It was a disappointing appointment.

Needs refresher of bedside manner
Didn't understand why I was referred to him from my other Dr and expressed that to me in a way that seemed unprofessional, overall bedside manner very poor

Worsy experience ever! I've had an unknown, undiagnosed sinus issue for most of my life. I saw Dr. Kendall in Southboro. As I started to explain my symptoms, he kept interrupting me with his incorrect diagnosis within two minutes. I kept trying to explain and clarify and he kept interrupting with just the two word diagnosis that he had already made up his mind on. He was very rude and condescending. I paid $65 to see this "specialist" who couldn't even take the time to listen to me, then wrote me an unnecessary, ineffective and expensive prescription.

Dr. Keneally has the worst bedside manner of any physician I have ever encountered. Every other staff member (Nurses, front desk, other surgeons)I have interacted with at his office have been wonderful. Do yourself a favor and meet with one of the other physicians at his practice.

This Doctor is extremely curt. He has no bedside manner at all. When we asked him questions about his treatment plan and the procedures he was recommending it was clear he did not want to explain or clarify anything.

Dr. Keneally diagnosed my ear problem. It was unusual but he figured it out right away. Limited the testing to the minimum needed to confirm his conclusion. He gave me some simple solutions. I never had any issues after that. Highly educated and very kind and practical.

Terrible bedside manner. His appointment was a waste of money. I waited for him for longer than he was actually in the room.
