Dr. Kerner has a wonderful way of putting you at ease. I had to have surgery to get a cyst removed and I really appreciated his bedside manner. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The surgery went great. I would highly recommend Dr. Kerner. I also had a very positive experience with several upfront clerks and nurses in the back, and everyone was very kind and professional.

Will look for a different dermatologist
March 3rd was a first in many ways. My 1st appt with Dr Kerner. The 1st time I've been berated by a medical assistant and the 1st time I had to wait out a dust storm on the entrance ramp to I10 for 3 hours. The worst of it was the treatment by the young girl that works for Dr Kerner. I realized as I was waiting and talking with another patient that we both had a 9:15 appt. When I mentioned this to the young girl taking me to my room, she said 'yes, Dr Kerner always triple books his appts'. Then as She asked me why I was there, I replied an appt to get checked. Anyway, the conversation went downhill and she threw my gown down and slammed the door as she left. When Dr Kerner finally came in ...50 mins after my 9:15 appt time...the young girl came back in for a 2nd round! In front of Dr Kerner. He did check the areas of concern, but as a current cancer patient for something else, I didn't feel careor concern as a patient. I will look for another dermatologist....

Dr Kerner saved my leg, I had a spider bite that was treated incorrectly for months in Carlsbad, he took one look at my leg and knew exactly what it was and started treatment at that appointment. I had been told that I would need to have it amputated with in the next few weeks if I didn’t get this infection under control. He gave me an injection and a series of topical treatments for the next 5 days. After the 2 nd treatment it was going away by the 5 th it was gone. 7 years later I am healthy and thanks to Dr Kerner I still have my leg! He is a wonderful caring man

Terrible Service
Booked an appointment four months ago and called to confirm. The lost the appointment and made no effort to remedy the problem. So disappointed in Dr. Kerner because of his mediocre staff. If you need to see a dermatologist go somewhere else.

The office has a very fancy n sophisticated web but the office is no better than a MVD waiting office . The waiting time is such and usually long that they have a sign offering to reschedule and assuring that “ the doctor will take his time on us too” . Well, when I was called, the exchange with the doctor was “ wam- bang - thank you ma’m” style, and if you sneeze you miss encounter . Dr Kerner came very well recommended n i don’t doubt about his acknowledge but the office where he works has a very bad management.

I really love/d Dr. Kerner, but just try to get a follow appnt...AS he recommended I do if my nail situation got worse, which it has. I've tried for over a week just to try and have an uninterrupted or un-disconnected call with his scheduling staff, who also never call back. So frustrated at this unprofessionalism I'm going to ask my primary care giver to refer me to another dermatologist. Again, solely due to the admin issues, not Dr. Kerner himself.

I recently saw Dr. Kerner for a spot on back of my neck. He was very friendly and reassured me it was nothing serious. The medication he prescribed has worked and highly recommended him. Also the skin esthetician is the best!

Took daughter to Dr. Kerner office Feb 16th. After discussing a cure for achne, which involved taking a urine sample for months, which me and my daughter opted out of, he then prescriped 3 medications. Two were filled but the other not covered by insurance, I checked with Walgreens and they faxed over what was needed. I've called Kerners office like 5 times, no call backs and still no meds, still wondering where we are in getting this med. Also, the visit was very rushed and bordering on unprof.

We made an appointment over 2 months in advance. When we arrived (a little early) the waiting room was so full we couldn’t find a chair. We were told the doc was running over an hour late. We cancelled our appointments. Its very rude to not respect his patients’ time.

I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. UNACCEPTABLE! Never got to see the Doctor! Don't know if the Doctor is incompetent or if his office / scheduling staff needs to be fired! There is lots of scheduling software available! At the least, if a Doctor is more than 15 minutes behind on scheduled appointments, patients should be told of the delay when they check in - and given the opportunity to reschedule. I will find a different Dermatologist!

I vist the office often. Always a long wait. The staff is not very friendly but the Dr. Is always friendly and very good, he helped me with skin issues and hair loss. I had lip injections fillers for the first time and I expected a lot more out of it. All I got was large bulges in the inner lip that were very uncomfortable I went back weeks later he said just massage it but it didn't work I was out of town and has to see another Dr who said they were filled improperly. No lip fullness for me :(
