Dr. James Kort, MD

?I visited Dr. Kort for what I thought was a sprained knee. With his experience, he recognized that the injury was much more. The MRI proved this to be true. He gave me a plan with options for healing, followed through on my choice, listened to my concerns, and helped me recover. You cannot replace his decades of orthopedic practice, his bedside manner, his conscientious follow ups, and his medical advice. Excellent doctor!

Great with Knee Injections using laser-guided machine

I saw him on 9/26/19 for arthritis in my knees. He was very helpful and took the time to explain everything to me. I really valued his advice. I would highly recommend him.

I did not have a satisfactory consolation with Dr. Kort. I have bursitis in my hip that keeps me awake at night and was hoping for some relief from that. Dr. Kort told me “sleep was over-rated” and since I didn’t have any visible signs of walking difficulties was not going to give me anything. He said “physical therapy” might help and that his office would set that up. I asked about a cortisone shot and said he didn’t like doing that for minor issues. Office never called and got charged $200 for talking with him for under 10 minutes of making me feel like I was making all my pain up. I would not recommend him for anyone.

I was very disappointed in Dr. Kort. I had to wait over 2 weeks just to get into see him even though my referral said urgent & then over an hour before I was taken back. I don't think he took me too seriously because one of his options was "live with it" What I really don't like is that on the patient visit summary it said he discussed things with me that he didn't. I did consent for the procedure but it certainly was not informed consent since he didn't tell me all the possible ramifications.

I was on time to my appointment, was told I was 30 minutes late and would need to reschedule. Only available was 2 months out. What am I supposed to do about a problem that prevents me from working- not work for 2 months? I then requested to speak with the dr, was told no. Requested to speak with SOMEBODY who could help, was told the receptionist supervisor. On the call for 45 minutes, and the receptionist called the police on me for waiting there to be seen. Horrible treatment of patients!
