WENT IN FOR IMPLANT CHANGE- 4 SURGERIES- 4 INFECTIONS AND ENDED UP WITH A TOTAL MASTECTOMY. HE HAS MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY DESTROYED ME. 37 OFFICE VISITS LATER AND I AM LEFT A MESS. HE RUINED MY LIFE- WHAT HE PUT ME AND MY HUSBAND THROUGH NOONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO EXPERIENCE!

Dr. Mayo and his team were excellent!! From creating the appointment, to the nurses in preop and postop and the PA's and NP's they were all so amazing, helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. I am so thankful for Dr. Mayo and his team and I would recommend him and the team to anyone.

Iwwas diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer at the top of my head. The plan by the cancer surgeons was to remove scalp tissue / skin about 2 - 3/4' diameter to the skull. A plastic surgeon I consulted with before Dr. Mayo was insistant that a skin graft would be necessary regardless. I did not want another scarred area especially on a thigh. Iconsulted with Dr. Mayo and he showed me a couple of other procedures that mightbe possible if the amount of tissure removed wasn't excessive. He said he wouldn't know until surgery time. He did not have to do a graft. All the incisions healed beautifully. There was very little pain. He took his time to share in detail the procedure. He greeted me before surgery that morning and checked up on me during recovery. He was very nice, professional and answed all my questions during post op visits. I highly reccommend Dr. James Mayo.

I had DIEP with Dr Mayo who is truly the BEST of the BEST! I look better now than i did before! He is kind, compassionate, through, but most importantly SKILLED!! Its a big decision to make but he put me at ease by answering all my questions! We all deserve the best and thats Dr Mayo! #teammayo

I am 4 days post op from a DIEP breast construction. This is a big surgery. Dr. Mayo (assisted by Dr. Klein) did an amazing job. From the very beginning of this journey, I have been impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Mayo and his team. Please consider choosing Dr. Mayo as your surgeon.

I visited Dr Mayo many times. I was trying to find the right doctor to care for my issues. He was honest, kind, and up front about everything. He made sure I was aware of everything that would happen and what could happen. I had two surgeries and am very happy with the results. When I need to revisit, I will be sure to go to him.

Dr Mayo and his staff were very professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable during my pre-op and post-op visits! All of my questions were always answered, and when I got tongue tied during my follow up, Dr Mayo was very sweet and didn’t make me feel like a babbling idiot. I had so much going on in my life. My explant and mastoplexy surgeries went really well, and am extremely pleased with my results! What a blessing you were, and can’t thank you enough!

Dr. Mayo did an amazing job! From my first appointment through my final surgery 3 weeks ago, Dr. Mayo described the options/details for my surgery, asked for my thoughts/feedback, and truly cared for my opinion of the results Both surgeries went very well. I am almost 3 weeks post final expander to implant surgery and extremely pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Mayo!

I had reconstruction bilateral breast reconstruction with Dr Klein. Dr Mayo was the other surgeon. About 1 week post-op, I had some issues and contacted the Dr on call. It was Dr Mayo. He immediately called me back, listened to my concerns and addressed them. The following morning, much to my surprise, he texted me! Just following up to make sure I had slept OK and making sure I didn't need anything else. I can't say enough wonderful things about this entire team!

Dr. Mayo & his office staff are amazing. My mom had melanoma on her scalp & needed a large part removed. Dr. Mayo did an unbelievable job closing the scalp on the 1st try (which originally we didn't think could be done)! From the surgery to her last office visit, Dr Mayo & his staff were always welcoming, friendly, addressed our many questions without making us feel rushed or like we were annoying due to the amount of questions. I would highly recommend Dr Mayo for any reconstructive surgery

Extremely disappointed in this office. Inefficient follow up, extremely disorganized. Dr. Mayo should be more diligent about how his office handles patients. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to care.
