Do not trust
I went to see Dr. Nelson at a friends request. She was his patient. I was going through tremendous family issues and really was begging God to let me die. He put me on medicine and then it was like pulling teeth to get refills or a response. During one of my counseling session he literally rolled his eyes at me after I told him I really wanted to die. So please if you have more than stress and you need real help, this is not a real doctor. He doesn’t care nor wants to help or he is easily influenced by other people. He was never for me or helpful in anyway. I am sorry I told him my true feelings he made me believe you truly can’t trust anyone especially my doctor. He wouldn’t even explain why. I pray no one has to experience what I went through when I was going through the worst time in my life.

Dr. Nelson is caring, takes time to listen, and makes solid medical recommendations while considering the individual's needs. As his patient, I simply don't trust anyone else.

Dr. Nelson simply didn't want to take the time to listen. When you bring in a family member and you are worried about them and they have been severely struggling, it takes more then THREE questions to rule out any diagnosis. Had he actually cared to listen, he had the potential to make real difference. Another family member sees a doctor in this practice. She is great. Skip Dr. Nelson. He is arrogant and doesn't listen. Never heard that an LPC had already diagnosed. It's beyond sad.

I found the scheduling process at this office impossible. The phone transferred directly to a voice mail menu in the middle of the day. After I finally reached a person on the phone, the woman told me the office does not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition, they refused to accept payments by credit card, check or cash.

Sub-par doc; very rigid and stiff. Not what I would recommend as a "caring psychiatrist."

We have been going to Dr. Nelson for over 5 years. He treats my 12 year old son for ADHD. He listens, has well thought out responses and generally cares about his patients. He has always been responsive to immediate concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Nelson to others.

The worst staff possible. I have a $0 copay because I have let my maximum out of pocket with my insurance. They still DEMANDED a $50 deposit just to schedule an appointment. It's not a credit card hold. They actually wanted to charge $50 to schedule an appointment. When I pointed out that was a direct of my insurance companies policies the response was - That's too bad and they hung up on me.
