Dr. James Otto, MD

I was admitted to have both Cartoids fixed. Dr Otto would only do one at a time and after 8 weeks I am still trying to get the second scheduled. If it is more than a simple single surgery find someone else.

Went to Dr. Otto twice after surgery. My incision site never looked right to me. After hearing him say twice everything looked ok, I went to the ER. Every Dr. said it was infected. Well they were right. I had two surgical procedures to clean up the infection, have a wound Vac and at hm with antibiotics for a month. Dr. Royalty saved my life. He is very meticulous and very organized and focused. The med community stated they wish I started with Dr. Royalty. How do you get an infection with todays methods? The main problem was having a doctor tell you no infection and every other Dr. that looked at it knew! So if you are thinking of surgery think twice before you use Dr. Otto… How can I have a fever my wound looked awful and the surgeon tells you it will work it’s way out???? A letter of apology would be nice or even a sorry I missed the infection. Be your advocate, it could save you life. Sadly, I am a patient who was proactive and saved my own life!

It was the worst Dr visit ever

After having terrible experiences with another doctor I found Dr Otto! Thank goodness! He is very straightforward, which I appreciate, and he explained my surgeries. Never have to wait and his staff is awesome. Thanks Angela for answering all of my silly questions

Dr.Otto was exceptional Sometimes you have to overlook personality differences for exceptionally skilled services My experience with Dr.Otto was very professional and he saved my husband’s life!

I was referred to Dr Otto and wish I had walked out the door. Dr Otto has no bedside manners he does not explain things he just goes in full blast with no after care I would not recommend Dr Otto to anyone.

Good surgeon. Only one in town, and knows and acts like it. Short and irritated my my aging parent. Didn't invite family in to exam room, then irritated when he forgot to ask questions and had to be brought back in to the exam room. Poor behavior from a so called higher educated individual dealing w/so many elderly in that area.

This was my initial visit with Dr Otto. I found him to be pleasant, direct with information and clear on the process needed to determine my issues. A nice firm handshake and makes eye contact important to me.
