Unhelpful, asked if we were getting 2nd opinion
He came into the room, sat down at the computer and stared at it for 2 minutes and then said “sorry, I’m just trying to piece together how we got here today” … did not review my dads case prior to us coming, or even while we were waiting. Asked us right off the bat if we were getting a second opinion by asking “I just need to know if I’m going to be the quarterback or if I’m running the game” .. we were honest and said that we were probably also going to get a second opinion and he proceeded to clap and said “good.for.you.” did not offer much information at all, I had to ask questions to pull any information from him. Before we left, he asked where we were going to go for second opinion and then clapped again. I don’t need a kind MD, I need one that knows what he’s doing and wants to help his patients and maybe he does, but that’s not what we got. And yes, the 2nd opinion went great.. and no - they didn’t ask if they were “running the game”. My dads life is not a game.
