I would recommend Dr. Richman to family and friends. After a serious clavicle break that had me reeling in pain, the ER doctor told me to follow up with him in a week. However his team contacted me the very next day to come in ASAP because he thought it might be worth considering surgery more immediately. It is hard to describe how bad the pain of this injury was, but more importantly I am a multi-discipline athlete who wants to be able to use my body to its fullest for years to come. He operated on my clavicle and pieced it together very well with screws+plate and has been nothing but informative, respectful and knowledgeable about his care. Only a couple weeks after surgery I was having almost no pain (and right after the surgery pain was greatly improved as well) and the surgery site looks clean-ish. I am also very grateful for all the doctors and nurses I've dealt with at Tacoma General; I would definitely be grateful to be there in another emergency over other places I have been.
