Very knowledgeable on Spinal Cord Injuries
I met Dr. Simon when I was life flighted to St. Francis with a large blood clot in my bladder causing me to go into autonomic dyreflexia. Over the past year and a half he has managed to get my bladder to stop bleeding and get off so much bladder medication. He always spends a lot of time with me, calls me himself, if there are any questions. I live a distance from the hospital and he always sees me thru telemed for my convenience. He is very empathetic, knowledgeable and kind. I felt like a friend instead of a patient from the moment he came into my ER room. He gets me on his surgery schedule extremely fast. He listens to what has worked for me in the past; which is refreshing that he trusts I know my body, instead of being egotistical. I hope he stays in Tulsa, so I never need a different urologist. Thank you Dr. Simon for restoring my trust in good doctors.

Dr. Simon is a true blessing to my family
After 4 failed prostate surgeries from a different Tulsa medical group and still bleeding, I met Dr. Simon in the emergency room at St. Francis. He took command of the ER and surgical resources, acted decisively, presented options and took great care of me. His PA's were always available, and the St. Francis nurses gave him great compliments. Dr. Simon was my 4th urologist, and there is no comparison. If you need surgery, his diagnosis is precise and his treatment plan is crafted particular to your situation, not just following the same surgical procedures as the last 400 guys he treated. He is also a really nice guy who treats you both as a respected patient and a friend.

I went to Dr Simon with PSA elevation. He patiently explained options and I opted to proceed with prostate biopsies after a 3 Tesla MRI to target abnormalities. My tissue samples showed serious prostate cancer. Dr Simon did a skillful daVinci robotic prostatectomy removing all prostate cancer, including from nearby lymph nodes. I was home the next day. Now eight years later I've remained cancer free with an undetectable PSA level. I've no doubt that it is through Dr Simon's kindness, expertise and great surgical skill that I'm alive and well today. I readily recommend Dr Simon to anyone who asks.

Dr Simon's robotic day surgery cured my high-grade node-positive prostate cancer. All the while he remained deeply and fully invested in my overall well being. Given that I had cancer, I cannot imagine a better experience or ultimate outcome. On your journey back to wellness, don't fail to see Dr Simon.

Dr. Simon is the best of the best
As a physician, I have the resources to seek out the best Urologist for my Prostate cancer. I chose to travel from Colorado to Tulsa, OK to have Dr. Simon perform my robotic surgery. I advised my local Urologist, my desire to have Dr. Simon perform the surgery. His response was "well you're going to the best". My concern after eradicating the cancer, was bladder leakage. I'm happy to report zero leaks. That's rare after a prostatectomy. Dr. Simon calls often to follow up on me. Making sure I'm on the right recovery trajectory. Even after a long day of surgeries, he makes time to check up on me. He sincerely cares about his patients. Dr. Simon is genuine and sincere. He's personable. But moreover he's the best at his profession. I can't recommend Dr. Simon highly enough as a Urologist. He is worth the effort to travel from anywhere.

Dr Simon is a very personable relaxed physician who discusses your condition with you in a clear and informing manner all while putting you at ease. My experience was surgical and was expedited due to the nature of the issue. He made certain that I didn't wait for the surgery to be accomplished. He also answers all communications you send via the patient portal promptly.

Awesome Doctor
I was referred to Dr. Simon because I had an elevated PSA. The PSA wasn’t terribly high but with my family history of prostate cancer, Dr. Simon performed a needle biopsy, and discovered that I had a moderately aggressive prostate cancer. I elected to have Dr. Simon conduct a robotic radical prostatectomy. Dr. Simon was excellent in explaining everything to me and my wife about the procedure. The procedure was flawless, painless. Dr. Simon has an excellent bedside manner, explains everything, very attentive to his patients and personally calls instead of having the receptionist call, or read it on your chart. I can’t say enough about Dr. Simon or Saint Francis. My wife was so impressed with him that she switched urologist’s so she could go with Dr. Simon. I highly recommend Dr. Simon.

Exceptional Care
Dr. Simon treated me for enlargement of the prostrate. I was in pain and had a catheter for over two weeks. He spent the time and effort to complete tests late in the afternoon and after the office was officially closed. He scheduled surgery for two days later and explained in detail the procedure and implications. The surgery was successful and Dr. Simon demonstrated great skill and care for me and my condition. I recommend him without reservation. He is an exceptional physician!

Lies again
Dr. Simon not only lied about a payment plan option for a vasectomy, he also took three years to lie about my review. I did not refuse to talk to him, when I spoke with him he told me he changed his mind about the payment plan. He mentioned nothing about my insurance. Yes I was upset, I went somewhere else for the procedure and had a great, honest experience. Don't waste your time with this man.

Prostate Cancer
Dr Simon treated me for prostate cancer. Throughout the process Dr. Simon used the latest best practices to verify my diagnostics and thoroughly explained each step of the process. An MRI assisted biopsy verified the prostate cancer. In February 2021 Dr Simon performed a radical robotic assisted prostatectomy to remove my prostate. Two months after the surgery my PSA lab test can back as 0.0. Dr Simon is both very professional and personable and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Urologist.

I went to Dr. Simon six years ago with an elevated PSA protein. Over those years he guided me through three biopsies, three MRI's and five years of active surveillance. Come 2021 it was time for a prostatectomy. He moves from Colorado to Oklahoma. I follow him. That's how much I believe in this man and his expertise. I'm on the other side of the successful surgery with a clean pathology report. Doctor Simon is a very strong, professional and busy man. He stays current on all aspects of his profession. He goes above and beyond for his patients. That is why he has multiple fly-in-fly-out surgeries; he's that good.

Dr. Simon Cares about doing the very best he can for his patients. He takes the time to get the job done right. My surgery for prostate cancer was scheduled for 3 hours, and Dr. Simon took more than 6 hours. During the surgery, he found a lot of scar tissue and problems with my lymph nodes that took the extra time to get taken care of correctly. My belief is that some other surgeons would not have taken the time to do the job right, instead, choosing to take more tissue than needed, and possibly damaging the nerves needed to retain my function ability. I feel this way because I often felt rushed when visiting with the 2 other Urologists I consulted with before choosing Dr. Simon. Dr. Simon told me once that he plans to maintain our relationship with follow up for many years, and he never wants to think back and wish he had done something different with my surgery. This is why he takes the time to get it done right the first time. I would recommend Dr. Jim Simon to anyone.

Dr Simon attempted to help me with Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome (PVPS), while he was not able to see me to final treatment, he was invaluable in helping to eliminate other diagnoses, manage the pain while we searched for the underlying cause, and ultimately his carefully documented work with me led to a successful treatment with another surgeon.

I’m 71 years old and have seen my share of doctors through the years.  I would rank Dr. Simon as the most professional, experienced, and personable physician I’ve ever worked with.  I had a challenging female condition called pelvic prolapse.  With great knowledge, care, empathy, and just the right amount of humor, Dr. Simon assured me and my husband that the surgical procedure “sacrocolpopexy” would be the best course of action for me.  He took the time to explain everything to us, to our complete satisfaction.  After 6 weeks, my surgical outcome has been fantastic.  Medical conditions and medical procedures aren’t fun, to be sure, but Dr. Simon and his staff were superb in helping me through my challenge, with great benefit to my quality of life.  My husband and I are deeply indebted to all of them, and one way I can show my gratitude is by writing this review, from my heart. — Carol W
