Dr. James Sussman, DO

I was so impressed by Dr. Sussman. I learned so much from my appointment! He figured out the cause of a reaction I had even though it is not common. He showed me the "proper" way to use an epi pen. I would have never used it properly had he not shown me. He talked to me about the affects of long time benadryl use. I was taking it for sleep and in older adults it is very bad to use for anything other than an allergic reaction, due to a study that has linked it to dementia. He switched me to Zyrtec rather than Claritin so I could take it at night because it has a relaxing affect. Guess what? It works! 3 nights with complete sleep! Best Doctor ever! While it can be difficult to get an appointment w/ Dr. Sussman, he is definitely worth the wait. He spends a great deal of time during visits going into every facet of my medical condition (allergies, asthma, Meniere's Disease). He is a great listener, offers multiple solutions, and discusses options with me. He has fit me into his schedule when I have had acute conditions.

Dr, Sussman is the best doctor, he truly cares about patients and spends time with them to hear all their concerns, complaints, and problems. I have been seeing him for my allergies for years, and he is the best at explaining treatments and monitoring my progression.

Dr. Sussman spent a considerable amount of time during my appointment taking care of my medical needs. I trust him and his associates as they assisted me during an emergency when I didn't have an appointment. Dr. Sussman corrected my prescription needs following an incorrection prescription by another doctor in a different practice. I recommend Dr. Sussman highly. He is an exceptional person and doctor.

Struggling with asthma, allergies, and sleep apnea, I have been treated by many physicians, but under Dr.Sussman's care, the tests he uses on each visit, his careful evaluations, his use of charts of my past visits to follow my conditions, I have now better lung and allergy control, and function better than ever before. I am having the same problem getting an appointment as others have noted. They do not answer the phone and do not return phone calls. I have been calling for more than 2 days with no results. Not very professional!

Dr. Sussman has been my asthma doctor for 30 years and I have never considered that I could find anyone better to treat me. He is kind, considerate, and very knowledgable. His staff is very friendly the whole office is quite professional.
