Dr. James Sutherland, DO

We are very happy with our experience with Dr. Sutherland and his staff. Mom had been dealing with a painful venous ulcer for almost 3 years. Previous medical treatment had been unsuccessful . Within 6 weeks of seeing Dr. Sutherland, her wound is healed and Mom can enjoy a normal life again. We appreciate Dr. Sutherland's direct, but kind approach. His office staff is top notch. Always kind and took care to make sure Mom was as comfortable as possible. We highly recommend Dr Sutherland.

Was warned by referring physician regarding Dr Sutherland’s bad bedside manner but was still surprised by his awful demeanor upon visiting. Was told he was a “very mean person with miserable bedside manner but could heal a wound.” Turns out his bedside manner is so poor that we didn’t even make it to the wound review. The director had to come apologize for the Drs behavior and reschedule the visit with the other physician at the practice for a later date. We were told that Dr Sutherland is “new” and does not reflect the rest of the wound care team’s values. Please avoid being referred to Dr James Sutherland if possible. Very discouraging experience.
