Dr. James Theis, MD

Eventually he might blame you for your injury. Or infer that you're crazy. We got no where after 3 years.

Dr. Theis was my provider this year. It ended with a horrendous conversation over the phone where he called to follow up on referrals requested after I had a health scare and visited the Emergency Room. He made my concerns and trip to the ER seem extremely insignificant, saying that because I went to Urgent Care, I was misdiagnosed and ended up in the ER. He was rude, and seemed upset that I would ask for a cardiologist referral (based on recommendation from the Emergency doctor). I felt unsupported, disregarded, and told him that he was not being kind or compassionate towards his patient which was disheartening. He did not apologize and shared that if I did not like his recommendations, I could find another doctor. That, I will. Unfortunately, this was not surprising; at an appointment earlier in the year, he asked "what's the big deal?" when I shared my digestion concerns. I wish I would have found another PCP then. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Takes his time / thorough

I went to him Jandice with bright red urine. He basically said I was fine. 8 days latter I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a Hemoglobin of 4 and starting to go into heart failure. Review of my medical records by mt current doctors shows I was sick for over a year and Dr Theis just ignored the test results. Even when I asked about them he told me they were normal and found out later they were not. The mans negligence almost cost me my life

Made last minute same day appointment with Dr. Theis. He was very knowledgeable and made sure to get me an appointment with a specialist for my condition. He always called back immediately and all my questions were answered.

I felt as though he was a genuinely empathetic and concerned physician.
