I went to Dr Underwood because I was having pain in my stomach. He did a upper scope, when he came to give me the results, he said I didn’t have a ulcer and I asked him why I was hurting so bad he said “ I don’t know” and walked out of the room. I called the next day and spoke with the nurse, she told me that the results came back showing I have severe irritation to the lining of my stomach and told me what medication I needed to take. Underwood didn’t seem to care. My brother was in the room and he felt the same way.

My experience was exceptional. Dr. Underwood took his time with me. He didn't rush the visit. He explained everything where I had full understanding on my referral, the reason for the appointment , and what he will be doing about finding out what my health issues were.

While a colonoscopy likely isn’t an activity most would say they relish, Dr. Underwood and the staff at GI Associates made it easy. Quite frankly, it really wasn’t so bad! The stuff I had to drink for preparation was only 2 10oz bottles - not the big jug they used to require - and a lot of clear liquids of my choosing. Once at the clinic, everyone was really reassuring and helpful. Then I slept through everything that was unpleasant and it was over in a flash! I’m glad don’t have to do this again for a long while, but I doubt I’ll be dreading the next time I have to do this - thanks to Dr. Underwood and his team.
