Dr. James Wilson, DO

Dr. Wilson really took the time to listen to me. I am very fortunate to have him as my pcp.

I called today to make an appointment and found out that I am no longer a patient, and he is not accepting new patients. Who knew that not being sick all the time was a punishment. I feel like a letter or phone call letting me know that since I had not been seen in a while that i either needed to make an appointment or I would be dropped as a patient. I have been going to Dr.Wilson for the last 18 years and now i am forced to find a new provider.

I have multiple major medical problems, specialists and Dr Wilson and his staff are amazing at helping and treating me every time. They always help with accommodating my needs and go the extra mile. I moved 2 hours away but I still keep him as my primary care doctor because I’ll never find a physician that great. Before becoming ill I was a practice manager in Lake County. Dr Wilson was recommended to me by physicians I worked for in my past. I recommend him to all my family, friends etc. Dr Wilson and his staff are the best!

I always have a good experience with this office. His receptionist is always lovely, his nurses are always friendly. He listens and does not make you feel bad for asking for help for things such as mental health or weight loss. He is open to talking about different treatment options. I think he’s great.

My wife and I have been seen by Dr Wilson for several years now and we have been very disappointed with both his and his staff’s performance. We are canceling all future appointments and taking our business elsewhere. What was so amazing was that when we called to cancel they didn’t really care why. How can you possibly improve if you are not willing to accept or understand the deficiencies.

Originally went to Dr. Wilson with depression issues. With each visit, I felt like a paycheck. I understand people have bad days. However, this was on multiple occasions.

I moved to this area in June of 2019 and found Doctor Wilson easily. I previously had a DO and like the manner of care they provide . Dr. Wilson was prompt and ask about my needs .

Dr Wilson changed my prescription, which I had taken for the previous 12 years without my permission or knowledge. It was only when I picked up the prescription that I realized he changed the dose.

My husband and I are long time patients of Dr. Wilson. He is professional, caring and knowledgeable, and his staff are equally as wonderful.

I am newer (less than 2 years) to Florida (from Maryland) where some of the best doctors are and have only seen him less than a handful of times so far, and have had all good experiences, with the staff, appointments and the physician himself and I am very pro-active with my health. So far so good!

He is very kind and personable. Assistants are funny and kind. He actually listens to me about my symptoms and opinions. I also like that he's honest. I'm obese and without being harsh, he was honest about my diet and exercise habits. Receptionist is the best ever. Usually when I call medical offices, the receptionist acts like I'm interrupting them. I hope to never have to change Doctors. The only 4 star is the time he personally spends with me, but that's standard with every doctor. Insurance Companies demand such discounted rates that Drs tend to schedule back to back appts. I feel like if I really asked, he would not refuse a request to spend more time.

Dr. Wilson has been my doctor for over 10 years and I've only had very positive experiences with him and his staff.

He is a good Doctor, but he is never available if you have an emergency or need an appointment for the same week. The receptionist also tried to pin on me a mistake she made with the time of my appointment.

Dr. James Wilson and Staff are wonderful. I have been nothing but cared for by this team as my diagnosis is complex and frustrating. Dr. Wilson and staff are so sweet and professional and have much empathy. I highly recommend this physician and team. He is great! Always available and quick to followup on requests for paperwork that needs to be addressed. A great doctor and a wonderful team.

The staff and physician were VERY helpful, professional people. Scheduling my initial appointment, the registration & consultation... was a hassle free experience.

Very professional always goes over and beyond for me lots of times over several years of being a patient. I have been to many doctors over my life and upon going to Dr.Wilson I haven't needed any other general doctor.
