Dr. Jamie Kapner, MD

I left an honest/polite assessment. However, the site didn't send my remarks. Here is a BASIC evaluation •barked pre-surgery directives while I was groggy from a medicated, sleepless night recovering from a prior emergency procedure to stop internal hemorrhaging. •curt, defensive when I asked him about his background (not a good sign when Dr. won't disclose experience), and said I could "look up his credentials." •disturbing bedside manner. •please, I'm not being condescending, but I'm blessed with a family of kind MD's, DVM, Ph.D.'s, and Medical Professors: (Chief of Neurosurgery, Methodist Hospital, Professor of Neurosurgery, Baylor College of Medicine, Neurosurgery Textbook Author, Researcher, NASA Space Flight Consultant, Dad, DVM, Ph.D., UC Davis Veterinary School [I'm proud-UC Davis is #1 Vet School in World], Professor of Anatomy/Physiology and Research, Author, President, AVMA x3; Prof. of Nursing; Ped/Immu, MD.). I KNOW the need for doc/patient trust and I don't feel safe.

Following a CAT scan, the staff went out of their way to contact me about a very necessary procedure and because of that, probably saved my kidneys. Dr. Kapner is a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it -is Urologist. He took the time to explain the procedure and its causes and he took the to call my wife and explain the situation a second time. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I am not happy with the service I received from Dr. Kapner. He was not at all consultative about my condition and he actually answered his cell phone in the middle of one of my visits which I couldn't believe. In my follow-up visits, he didn't want to answer questions and was walking out of his office when I still had questions. This guy is extremely rude and I would not recommend anybody visit his practice. My last visit I was literally there for 60 seconds.

Dr Kapner was on time, respected my schedule, and was tactful. He explained everything to me and was thorough. I appreciated how I was treated me and that he did not waste my time. I waz in and out and I got the answers I needed. I will definitely go back to him though he states I don't need to.

Dr, Kapner is a doctor that really cares about his patients. He takes time to listens to you and is never in a hurry. I would and have recommended him.

Very knowledgeable and professional. Dr kapner helped me immensely. I'm so grateful I've recommended him to others.I don't normally make recommendations but Dr kapner was excellent

Dr. Kapner has been the source of great help and assistance to me. What he has done on an emergency basis in the past defines what a physician should be.
