9 days after surgery my sutures were pulled out.30 minutes later my abdomen split open and I started hemorrhaging, I was rushed by ambulance back to NYU where I was again, not seen by my surgeon. My skin on my abdomen was shredding apart and the doctor saw sutures were not holding the skin together. I was stapled together. 5 minutes after the doctor left ER area, my sternum tore open and I started bleeding again. I waited serveral more hours for the doctor to return she then realized that she needed assistance stapling because the skin was shredding and all the areas needed to be stapled. I was dicharged at 4 am after having 9 separate areas ranging from 4 to 12 inches long, stapled close because my skin kept shredding open. After leaving the ER many of my staples tore open my skin and creating more holes during my father's burial. I was sent back to NYU ER to be stapled and glued on August 24th. My skin continued to shred streak red, discharge green, booger yellow and sticky oran

EXCELLENCE
Dr. Levine’s skill and ability to think outside the box re my unique case was life changing for me. I had bad facial scarring and other abnormalities resulting from a bad car accident. He accomplished in one procedure what other Board Certified Doctors weren’t able to over many procedures. I am profoundly grateful.

I spent over seven weeks at Tisch Hospital/NYU Langone Health undergoing multiple surgeries to repair the damage done in a prior foot operation (by another surgeon) about a month and a half earlier. The damage was severe and the surgeries I had at NYU were extremely complex, including intricate microsurgery. At one of the most trying and uncertain times of my life, Dr. Levine brought his skill, experience, and supportive care and concern to my aid. He’s a great surgeon and a great human being. I’m eternally grateful to him and can’t praise him enough. He’s just terrific!

I went to him about a year ago for a reduction. His nurse practitioner was the only one who spoke to me and she wasn’t the nicest. When I went for my one week checkup after the surgery he wasn’t there his nurse practitioner Kim was. He gave me an antibiotic that I had a reaction to and listed in my chart that I was allergic to penicillin which I went to a allergy dr to confirm and I’m not. My reduction looks horrible. He had me wear drains which friends of mine who had this surgery look amazing and didn’t need to wear drains. Nor did they have any complications. I need to get my done again. Other drs I have seen said it’s not a great job. I just felt like he could careless if he did this or not and his work and attitude showed it.

A family member had a very serous medical issue. Dr. Levine was the most attentive Dr we have ever met. On numerous occasions during the hospital stay he came by multiple times to check in on us. Everything worked out very well in the end. Would not have been possible without his care. If they had 1en stars he would receive that rating from us. Can't recommend him any higher. -JDS
