Having just been diagnosed with HIV, I was very nervous about finding a quality, knowledgeable, thorough, and caring doctor. I got really lucky with Dr. Babiarz as she is extremely thorough and explains things in a manner that is easy to follow and understand, even goes as far as drawing a visual. She begins the visit by outlining what she wants to get accomplished and makes sure you leave with all questions answered and at ease. Most importantly, when choosing medication she didn't just select what she wanted me to use, she explained every single option's pros and cons and helped me to decide what would best fit me based on my medical history and lifestyle. She is very calming, non judgmental, and easy to talk to.

My regular doctor was unavailable, therefore I saw Dr. Babiarz for severe, debilitating hip pain which had lasted more than a week. I supposed that it was my osteoarthritis. However, after a thorough history-taking, a range of motion exam, and palpitation of the area, Dr. Babiarz arrived at the diagnosis. She answered my question about effects of the medication which would be best to treat the condition, and, yes, she checked some data on the computer. Pharmacology is a phenomenally vast area of medicine. NO one, including pharmacists, can retain all the data in their memory, which is why resorting to the data on line is such a boon to modern medicine. She certainly knew which medications are contraindicated with a condition that I have. I left Dr. Babiarz' office completely confident that I had received exceptional care and provided appropriate treatment. If I was searching for a new doctor, I would request her. Kind and encouraging, she treats the whole person.

I agree with the other reviewer. The patient experience, rights and wishes are neglected. Instead, she focused on symptom checklists, chart notes and extremely outdated test results to dictate what was going to happen -- or not happen. She basically refused to dig deeper and figure out what was really going on. I left with no symptom relief and a great deal of additional frustration and stress. Her approach with me was to be to deny potentially helpful tests and treatments.

Jane Babiarz is little more than an indoctrinated adolescent who recites pharmaceutical dogma without any concern for patient experience, rights or wishes.
