Dr. Janel Gagnon, MD

Dr. Gagnon may be a good family doctor, but I would never go back to her with an infant. We went there with our first and I think she heavily contributed to my postpartum depression and anxiety. There were times I cried leaving appointments and felt like a complete failure as a mother. Even though I was adamant that I wanted to breastfeed, she kept pushing formula and didn’t really give me any resources to help with my breastfeeding journey. Through my own perseverance, I was able to do it, but it would’ve stopped most others. She shamed me when I said I had to sleep on the couch with my daughter because she wouldn’t sleep anywhere, but our arms. Her answer? It just takes patience. Keep trying and she’ll eventually sleep. Yeah, she didn’t. Most nights I only got around 4 hours of sleep due to the anxiety of it all. Looking back, pretty sure our daughter had undiagnosed silent reflux. When I went to a pediatrician with my son, it was just so much better of an experience.

I found Dr Gagnon very thorough but I was not satisfied with her staff. It also very had to schedule an appointment she is booked out very far. I understand mistakes happen but not twice. Two separate times they did not follow through with calling in my medication to the pharmacy and I had to call them back to get the medication sent to the pharmacy. Not good.

Dr. Gagnon is very thorough. She has a great bedside manor and takes the time she needs with her patients.

Love Dr Gagnon. She doesn’t rush me and very thorough with my care. I highly recommend her.

She is easy to talk to and knows her stuff. I like that she is willing to pull out her phone and google my condition just to verify something about my medication.
