Dr. Janet Forbes, MD

At first I thought I would really like this Doctor. At out initial appointment she was friendly and seemed to be caring. For follow up appointments she would get frustrated and impatient when I asked questions. She brushed off my concerns and pains. She also has a very rude and nasty nurse that acts like she's the doctor. I even asked the nurse if I could speak with her and the nurse asked what I wanted and tried to take over. Also, at a follow up appointment this doctor gave me, I showed up and she did not even know why she had given me that appointment. She seemed to not really care. After my horrible experience here at Rush Oak Park, I am going to change my provider altogether and going to Northwestern. Truly thought I would get top care from Rush, seeing they claim to be state of the art. Complete BS, I have gotten better medical care from small clinics.

Dr. Forbes is an excellent doctor who listens and explains things very well. She is patient, understanding and professional. The support staff in her office are very kind.

I've had Janet Forbes as my doctor for several years. I have found her very good working together with me to improve my health habits. She also doesn't panic about weird test results and is very good at explaining what is going on.

Dr. Forbes spent a significant amount of time with me during my initial appointment as my new PCP. She is very kind and explained everything to me.

I would be very careful in dealing with this provider, does not accept questions regarding billing issues

Dr Forbes is a good doctor. She is personable, but need to take more time with elderly patients that may need clearer explanations of diagnosis and treatment. When she does, the demonstrates great bedside manner.

I recommend Dr. Forbes. She's a patient doctor who listen to her patients and explains her diagnoses in layman terms. ---She spends a great deal of time explaining and answeing questions. She's extremely knowledgeable and very patient.
