Dr. Janet Turkle, MD

I had my brachioplasty with Dr. turkle on 4-19-24. I am almost one year post-op and utterly displeased with my results, which I have made known several times at follow-up appointments, telephone and email. Only to be told there’s nothing she can do. The only thing offered the last time I went in, was a small scar revision which has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Prior to surgery we had discussed the banding in my arms and the potential of them not being to my expectations. That is fine. I understood that. What I didn’t expect was for them to still be very full and as though a minimal effort was put into my surgery. When I had the consultation I know I should have asked more questions, but I was excited to have arms that I didn’t have to hide anymore. That is not the case. They are uneven, full, and there is still some sag to them. By looking at my arms, she should have known that lipo would be necessary to help correct and even out my arms. Wish a revision was offered with lipo.

Dr Turkle did a breast reduction for me. A week after the surgery, I started having complications. When I reached out, I was told to come in to the office. Dr Turkle herself did not see me, but a nurse did. My body was spitting out sutures. A week later, it had gotten worse and I reached out again. Still nothing from Dr. Turkle. She did not see me until 2 weeks after the issues started and by that point, it was very bad. My incisions ripped open and my body spit out almost all sutures. Dr Turkle then prescribed me over 100 mg of prednisone but told me “this could make it worse or better, you decide what you want to do”. My wounds got so bad that I had to go to a wound therapist for 7 months after the surgery to assist in skin growth. Dr Turkle claimed she did not “take off too much skin”, even though that was never suggested. She was not helpful, lacked empathy, and was not responding in a timely manner, which may have prevented the severity of it. I would NOT recommend Dr Turkle.

Both my husband and I have had procedures done with Dr. Turkle. We also both work with health care providers on a regular basis and therefore have some "behind the scenes" experience with many physicians, including surgeons. After our experience with Dr. Turkle, we both felt compelled to share. I had a limited time window in which to have my procedure, and she worked me into her schedule, and the result was EXACTLY what I was looking for. My husband just had a minor procedure, but his care was top notch as well. Dr. Turkle goes above and beyond to make her patients feel comfortable, she has great bedside manner, and she is clearly a highly skilled surgeon!

Did a tummy tuck for me, as well as fillers and wrinkle treatments for face. Beautiful work and great bedside manner.

From my initial consultation with Dr. Turkle, I was certain that I was in wonderful hands with Dr. Turkle. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient with my many questions and concerns, genuine, and easy to talk to. My results are above and beyond my expectations. I look and feel amazing. Her attention to detail, surgical skills, warmth before and during the recovery process, and bedside manner made the entire process much easier than I expected. Dr. Turkle is truly in a class all her own. It is with skillfull hands and a kind heart that she exceeds expectations in absolutely every way. Careful attention is paid to the WHOLE patient experience from consultation to surgery to followup, making sure you get the end result you desire. Her personable, warm demeanor make it very easy to feel comfortable from start to finish. She makes you feel like you are her only patient, never making you feel rushed, all while handling every appointment on time or early. Dr. Turkle is truly a gem and her patients are in the best hands, literally!
