Dr. Jared Cox, DO

I went to ER 04/02/2023 I got Dr. Cox super nice, respectful and so good looking! He was very nice and explained everything.

Dr. Jared Cox: Read charts and evaluated my recent previous visits to ED first. Presented himself in a professional yet kind manner Asked concise pertinent questions Physically reviewed current condition/ problem - actual hands on evaluation and review Listened patiently and intently Provided suggestions and possible options Asked my opinion and thoughts and answered concerns in understandable language Discussed his opinion and thoughts with rationale for same Developed a mutual agreed course of action Amazing eye contact and showed focused interest and importance of one thing- the patient Remarkable, efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. Wish he could be my primary care Doctor.

If there was a zero star option I would. For background I’m 20 F. I came to the ED for sever stomach pain vomiting blood and urinating blood. Two days prior I was seen in the ED. They said it was just a UTI. While I’m the hospital my doctor was Dr. Cox my blood pressure went up to 218/202. I was told they couldn’t use me urine because of the blood in it (which I understand). I was given pain medications that helped a little but I was still in major pain. After a CT scan it was revealed I had swollen lymph nodes in my stomach. When my BP spiked and was making no improvements I asked to speak with Dr. Cox. I was upset with the lack of concern with my care and condition and tried to ask questions of what to do. Each time I spoke I was cut off and told “I don’t know”. This morning I found out the CT also found I had a flattened IVC. Which wasn’t disclosed to me. I left the hospital crying and in pain scared to go home and go to sleep in the condition I was in. I’ll never come here again!

Luckily for me when I visited the Dixie Regional ER with a severe nosebleed I was assigned Dr Cox. He was very knowledgeable and always took the time to explain what they were doing. They finally installed an Epistaxis Rhino pack which eventually slowed the bleeding way down. Not the most pleasant experience but they did their best to make it tolerable. Very caring nursing personnel there as well
