The absolute best!
Dr Peterson is the most attentive eye doctor. He is brilliant and knew how to best help me with what causes my ocular pain and helped get my tear duct infections in check. He has gone above and beyond to help. He has referred me to other knowledgeable doctors for further treatment. I cannot thank him enough.

Not really great
The telemedicine person saw my red, inflamed eyelid with a lump on it and I had orbit pain upon every eye movement, indicating orbital cellulitis, but Dr. Jared Petersen dismissed all that as in my head, and just started reading off numbers. I have still not gained back the vision in my left eye.

Poor Bedside Manners
Stiff body posture, awkward gaze, looking at your face but not really seeing you. I was nervous, afraid and unsure and his presence made it worse. He didn’t go all my tests. He just focused on the immediate problem. I spent 40 minutes doing general testing and he didn’t go over my basic vision test results. My medication had changed and he didn’t address that either. Most of all I wanted to know if my optical nerves were healthy but he never discussed this with me. He just read off a bunch of numbers to his assistant like an espionage spy decoding an “only between us” message while I sat there, “uninformed” and blinded by strange bright lights. When I didn’t agree with his recommendation as we had not yet established a baseline for adequate treatment he became dismissive, gave a summation of ”what he would do” then, like a trail attorney stood up, faced the door and left the room. I guess the jury is still out as to whether my questions will ever be deserving of an answer

Dr.Peterson takes his time to explain any eye problems in layman’s terms. He wants to make sure you understand your condition and treatment. He takes his time and is very kind. I started seeing him after taking my Father in Law to his appointment with him and was impressed with his care and treatment of a 90+ yr old man with glaucoma, macular degeneration and other eye problems. He also has mild dementia and will repeat questions and Dr. Peterson kindly will explain again. Highly recommend.

Dr Peterson has been our family ophthalmologist for 3 years. He is friendly, rarely in a hurry, thorough, & addresses all our questions. My school-age dtr had a small concern and he took extra time to examine her eyes beyond a normal checkup. Another dtr felt her Rx was giving her headaches and he re-evaluated her and modified it to help put her at ease. My parents are driving from out of state to see him for cataract surgery and are extremely pleased with his bedside manner & expertise.

I went to Dr. Jared Peterson because I had cataracts in both eyes. When I talked to him, I found out I could get a symfony lens which would correct my vision as well as remove the cataracts. I had the symfony lens put in both eyes and now I have 20/20 vision in both eyes and don't have to wear glasses any more. I am 66 years old. It was expensive but worth it. Dr. Peterson, your were great and so was your staff! Thank you! Robin G.

The surgery was quick (20 minutes for one eye and 15 for the other one) with little discomfort. I was able to see very well the first day and two weeks later both eyes are 20-20 without glasses.

I was a little nervous about having cataract surgery, but Dr Peterson was VERY helpful and did a great job. I wasn't nervous at all when it came time to have the second one done. He knows his job and does it very well. I am extremely satisfied with my experience.
