Worst Experience Ever!
This was the worst appointmemt I’ve ever experienced with a surgeon. We drove 4 hours to speak with Dr. Beck. Ended up with Dr. Rowse. He spent less than 10 minutes with us. Long enough to tell us that fiance didn’t have MALS. He gave us wrong info about MALS as well. “It isn’t a blood flow issue. It’s a nerve pain issue.” Refused to give us any sort of treatment options because it’s a “risky surgery” & “it’s not guaranteed to work” Why should a surgeon be able to make that type of a decision for someone? The reality is it’s a team surgery & he knew nothing about the condition.. Thankfully we found a surgeon that spent more than 10 minutes with us & took time to confirmed the MALS diagnosis. Fiance has an arteriorgraph done & the narrowing from the ligament compression is so small that the camera was too big to fit. Doc had to back out & go around to be able to see the top. I’d rather a dr say that he isn’t comfortable or familiar with a particular surgery than waste my time & lie.

Our family has nothing but praise for Dr. Rowse. He operated on my husband's aortic aneurysm and rerouted his left subclavian artery with no residual effects afterwards. This was the smoothest aneurism surgery that my husband had out of his 4 surgical repairs. Dr Rowse was a most caring and personable doctor spending so much time with us in every appointment making sure that we were totally comfortable with what wasinvolved in the surgery and its aftermath. He explained everything with layman's terms and was never hurried or impatient with all of our many, many questions. What impressed me the most though was the fact that after the surgery he personally came down to the famiy waiting center to inform us of all the was involved during the surgery and thoroughly explained what was done in order to repair the aneurysm and complete the artificial artery bypass. Most of the time the surgeansjust call down to report to the family but not Dr. Rowse. We were so thankful and my husband had a speedy recovery .

Excellent surgeon
My dad is a Type B Aortic Dissection complicated patient. He had a Left Subclavian Bypass performed by Dr Rowse on 7/15/22 in preparation for another surgery by Dr Vargo. Dr Rowse is young, very educated, and very skilled. He knows what needs to be done and he does it. He has an excellent, very caring bedside manner.
